Thanks for the cool deck, smug. I decided to try it today and it works even with bad opening draw with no antimatters and shields.
Scraped this together in short time so it may/may not be a mess in terms of quanta/tower thing, but this is what I used.

Not only did I EM octane with this deck but I also won 3 upped eagle eyes. I'm overjoyed.

At 10 cards left in my deck I started wondering when I was going to do some damage.. but then I read the comments stating that it was intended to deck him out.
That worked very well. Had a shield in my first hand!

Never had such an easy FG before, with this deck.

I  had some trouble with this deck. as much as the idea looked good, he just blew up my amethyst pillars, and when I finally managed to antimatter+adrenaline a bow, he just firebolted it.

oh and octane, Y U SO STOOPID. he could oneshot me with all that gas

The deck in the OP no longer works well, as AI has been improved to deal with antimatter better.

Actually it still works, but not as well.

That's like saying rol/hope works on Octane but not as well. Or shrieker rush works on Octane, but not as well. The smarter AI obsoletes the deck since Octane has an obscene amount of CC and will use it to snipe down his own EE. Octane has 10 EE in his deck, so even if you managed to antimatter 6, he'd still have enough to kill you.

Honestly, I believe all of these older decks do not work for Octane anymore. I have got him about 5 or so times since I started playing and I have lost every time. With the reflective shield he stops using unstable gas... which is good, but it doesn't reflect. He also just kills any Eagle's Eye that I try to anti-matter, within 1-2 turns. Generally these decks all have like 2-4 monsters and they always die instantly. I'm really curious about which decks will work/not work for him though.

Granted, it's not as good as the previous counter deck was, but without rares or ups, you can only get so far.
