Uh... silence is useless.

Nerf it?  Bwahahahaha.  If it were improved it might, possibly, be worth putting in a deck.  But probably not even then.

Preventing your opponent from saving itself with miracle, gaining an oppening in a dim/SoSac/BW chain, keeping your creatures safe from CC after a fractal, mitigating the effects of SoB on your opponent. Useless indeed.

There is nothing to say on top of that. There is a reason why 27 people voted that this card is fine and only 1 wanted a nerf and 1 (aefields) a buff.
What's the speed of dark?

Silence is perfectly good how it is. If you already have a few creatures in battle, you will be fine. You just have to play smart and think around silence. In my opinion, there should be no changes to this card

Do Mirror Shield and Jade Shield reflect Silence?  If they do not, I believe that including Silence among the spells reflected would be an acceptable buff/nerf.  Otherwise, I think Silence is fine.

Or change the element to Air, since Silence has something to do with sound, just like Shockwave. Is that even possible?
My idealized elements cycle:
Water -> Fire -> Air -> Earth -> Lightning -> Metal -> Light -> Darkness -> Wood -> Water

Honestly I lost due to this spell only 3 or 4 times of hundreds in which I fought a deck that contained it. The AI can't use it very effectively and in PvP, once you know that the opponent is using Silence, you just have to use the life-saving card one turn before it becomes critical. Your opponent might be lucky or wise enough to have a final Silence chain but that's hardly the case.

I truly don't feel this card deserves a nerf.

At least the card doesn't say "Opponent loses next turn" which would make an ambiguity like what happened it another CCG.

Not advocating for a nerf or anything, but using it one turn before critical points still isn't that good. What if they save up 3 or 4? Then you are left helpless for a while. Silence is used for more then just to counter miracle and stuff, which is forcing unoptimal play. It is also used to, in the upped environment, to get your opponent to discard there needed cards, from the start. Not much you can do when you are silenced from the start for 2+ turns.

I have no doubts Silence is a very useful card and that if you are lucky you can get a couple of them at the beginning of the game, earning a strategic advantage. However, I was highlighting the most dangerous application of Silence, the one that more likely will give its user a victory. A smart player will keep 2 or 3 in his hand, to play them in chain in a critical moment. I admit I have little experience in PvP, but I bet that not many players use this card, in spite of its relative usefulness.

It happened that the AI was able to chain 2 or 3 in the first turns, but it caused a non decisive disadvantage. I was beaten by a Silence while using PDial. The AI cast it in the turn in which I was supposed to use SoSa. What a scoundrel! :D It reduced my HP below 40 and I didn't draw healing, so I was beaten. It happened twice :).
