When you upgrade Short Sword, the damage doubles but the cost doesn't change. What if Crimson Dragon upgraded to 24 attack...?

Easy understanding:
It's not "double" bonus. It's "+3" bonus.

This.  If this held true, you might as well say upgrading Antlion would make it OP.

Compare the cost/damage ratios for me please. For example:

Longsword: 1 :rainbow for 6 damage; 1 -> 6; x6 ratio
Eagle's Eye: 5 :air (-2 for having an ability) for 7 damage; 3 -> 7; x2 1/3 ratio
Poseidon: 3 :water (-2 for having an ability) for 4 damage; 1 -> 4; x4 ratio
Gavel: 2 :rainbow for 6-7 damage; 2 -> 6-7; x3-3.5 ratio
Dirk: 0 for 4 (5 w/ :death or :darkness mark) damage; 0 -> 4(5); undefined ratio
No one uses dirk though.
My 3 game-modification principles:
1. If it ain't broke, don't wreck it.
2. Simple fixes for simple problems.
3. Remember to fill in the holes.

This highlights something very important. Their is a cost that a mere attack/quanta ratio misses. This cost is the cost to draw the card. (Skyironsword is also excluding the upgrade cost which is also significant.)

This card has already been nerfed, right? Plz don't nerf it again, it didn't need the first one in the first place.

Wait, was it nerfed? Did it do 7 damage before?

It was never nerfed. It never needed a nerf, nor does it now.

from what i understand, u want it to be nerfed so mitosis can be buffed.

I was just stating someone else complaining about longsword. 1/6 cost/damage ratio is ridiculous.

Annele was saying that under the assumption it had mitosis, and he wasn't complaning, he was again referencing someone else :).
Now if long sword were a creature that would be OP, and probably more so than any other card in the game.

I did not say they weren't. However I have found that I get more accurate results when I compare upgraded cards by including the +1 :underworld - +2 :underworld cost they have relative to unupped cards. This also allows me to check between unupped and upgraded.

Shortsword is 3 attack / 1 :rainbow + 1 card
Longsword is 6 attack / 1 :rainbow + 1 card + 1 upgrade
Gavel is 7 attack / 2 :rainbow + 1 card + 1 upgrade + Specific Mark

I am not claiming you are wrong about Longsword. (Nor am I agreeing with you)

I think he's just saying that he didn't say that what you said was wrong nor right to say.  :P

More serious:
It's just like this.
1. You said longsword OP.
2. Oldtrees shows info about longsword compared to other cards.

No wrong or right here.
