When you upgrade Short Sword, the damage doubles but the cost doesn't change. What if Crimson Dragon upgraded to 24 attack...?

Just because 1 combo is OP, it doesn't means one of those 2 cards is OP, just the combo is.
Now: The pattern of weapon upgrading is different from normal ones, all weapons act the same.
Give me 1 argument why would long sword be OP.

Compare the cost/damage ratios for me please. For example:

Longsword: 1 for 6 damage; 1 -> 6; x6 ratio
Eagle's Eye: 5 (-2 for having an ability) for 7 damage; 3 -> 7; x2 1/3 ratio
Poseidon: 3 (-2 for having an ability) for 4 damage; 1 -> 4; x4 ratio
Gavel: 2 for 6-7 damage; 2 -> 6-7; x3-3.5 ratio

I do not think she needs nerf, because vampire dagger is 2 and 6 drain damage, jade staff is 2 and 4 + 5Hp, discord and arsenic upgraded also, maybe longsword can be 2

if it costs 2, it will become a worse gavel or long bow. from what i understand, u want it to be nerfed so mitosis can be buffed. imo, the cards are balanced the way they are.

Some balance theory:
Cards have a cost (usually converted into the unit elemental quanta): C
The game appears to have a roughly constant upgrade bonus: U
Some cards only have attack: A (unupped) | A' (upgraded)
A / C = A' / (C+U)
(C+U) / C = A' / A
(C+U) / C = 2
C+U = 2C
U = C
Attack may double and be balanced if U = C.

So there exists a specific cost such that the card may be upgraded and deserve double attack.

If the bonus is constant, does that mean that if C=U, doubling whatever attack is fine? So if i have a 12 attack creature double when upgraded to 24, but its cost is U, it's balanced? :v

Then the upgrading is fine. The card (unupped and upped) would be balanced relative to each other and the upgrade bonus. This does not claim that would be balanced relative to the rest of the cards. For that to be true A_This/C_This = A_That/C_That.

Easy understanding:
It's not "double" bonus. It's "+3" bonus.
