That's where your problem is. Thhe chance to turn creatures into skeletons is 50%/HP. Your creatures have 1 HP, so they have 50% chance to die to it. if they had 2Hp, it'd be 25%, ect.


why this dont write the formula on this card,
i think every player want to know if there is just a "small chance" or a function who determinate the meaning of "small chance".
Zanz has not discovered / been informed of a good way to state the chance on the card. If you come up with a good way then the card text might be changed.

just write it down directly: The probability is a function of the attacking creature: P(hp) = 0,5 / hp, or just give a hint that there is a formula and where to find
You do realize that the audience includes people that would be confused by that formula? Even the 50%/hp caused some confusion on the forums.

Also, "simple" is a word that should be noted here.  "Small Chance" is as simple as it can be to fit it onto the card text without making it that confusing.  Although, I wouldn't mind it being reworded to "Smaller creatures have a chance of dying" or something...

WOW, I mean, wow!
1st of all tnx OldTrees, for skull shield formula - I thought that chance for trigger was constant.
Second, morflink - at first I laughed when you said "it feels like 50%", but, now I'm just - WOW! - you FELT those odds so good, plus I'm glad that someone's good at maths. BUT, now, not only that I think that this card needs NO nerfing, I finally see it's place in this game. This card is perfect, hell, it's more than perfect. And it doesn't STOP rush, it slows it down. 1 out of 2 LG should make it to the next turn. If he does, he will have much lesser chance to die, 1/6, an in the next turn, 1/10 and so on. So you would basically want - no counters to rushes. Besides - there's a new card, Shard of Bravery - allows you to draw 3 cards (if you play  :fire ), so fire rushes are, besides being fast killers, buffed to even faster killers. And explosion is also a fire card - so you can "nerf" skull shield "manually".

No matter what This card is kinda weak and probably needs a buff rather than a nerf maybe like increased chance like (50%/HP)+10% This might make it more useable than before

It purpose is to slow the rush, so it is good vs creatures like golems, phoenixes, phase spiders and anything with low hp. There is no shield in game that's "good for everything" and there shouldn't be. One of the best CC shields wont protect you from magic, and vice versa. But on the other hand, every situation has it's shield. This one is cheap, and fast, like the rush itself. it's great anti rush card, and therefore no buff needed. And if you want shield with better results - they exist already, but, better results - more cost.

Agree with "small" being misleading text and sub-optimal.
