Note, that I don't think Psion is overpowered. It is a pretty good balanced card.
But it needs a nerf, because it's too strong in the element aether how it is right now. The reason is, Psion has a good damage/HP to cost ratio + Psion's passive ability ignore's 88% of all shields.

My opinion is, it needs a nerf in HP. 4|2 and 5|2 should be fine.

I'm with Odii on this one, though he could have worded it a little better.

His point seems to be: in a vacuum psion could be fine, but considering the easy synergies (fractal, dim shield, lobo, all in element), and the comparison with (unupped) phase spider, it needs a small nerf.

For that reason, I fully support a hp reduction: currently psiontal is neigh unstoppable, especially if you bring lobo in case of reflecting shields. With less hp's (mass)-CC would be much more effective. Aside from that, I think phase spider and phase recluse could use a hp increase as well, that way, people have a bit more incentive to use spider of psion. (I would say 4|4 unupped spider, 7|3 or 6|5 upped)

I agree psion needs a nerf.

One idea is to change the card to a  2-2 that cost 2 instead of a 4-4 that cost 4. But I don't know if this is better than a hp decrease.

Psion's balance is questionable as is - an HP nerf is not unreasonable to consider to keep the card balanced, or even above average. Especially one that puts it within the range of mass CC. This would make countering psiontal (arguably the most prominent damage combination in the unupped metagame right now, in the element of some of the best defensive cards) considerably easier, and would be a welcome nerf.

Unupped, it has 1 less health than a charger, is affected by 12% more shields than said charger, but costs 1 less. Neither of the previous effects are really enough to warrant it being cheaper, could probably be nerfed slightly, if only to put it in RoF range.

Your right,  doesn't usualy have very high HP. It often has immaterial instead. (not saying psion should be immaterial)

Since HP is not the focus of the Unit, it could be itself restatted vs CC measures.
Being 4|4 then 5|4 exposes it to TStorm, while 3 4|2, 4 5|4 is a buff to base while exposing it vs CC.
