Does any one else agree that mind gate is a broken card?
 1) For every one in play it increases their deck size by 100%
 2) It allows the opposing player to play WAY over the max of 6 per card. last game i played a player had 11 SoG in play.

I believe it should be modified. Any ideas?

It is not overpowered. If the guy is using mono-aether and you use mono-life he can't copy you. If the mindgate guy uses quantum pillars, thats something else. Permanent control can counter it, and it's very dependent on the other person's hand/deck. It's actually so luck based I would even put it in entropy :P

By the way, there is a "Nerf This Card!" Section now-a-days.

I have a simple request for you.

Before posting in the "nerf this card" section, play the card in your deck, instead of just playing against it.
Before posting in the "buff this card" section, play against the card, instead of just playing it in your deck.

Have a nice day.

I play mono fire and yes they can still copy you. They end up pulling your towers/pillars. as well as all your other cards. You end up playing their deck as well as one to SIX times you own deck depending how many they have in play.

Can I argue that its too weak?

How many decks will win with the broken Mindgate this war?

It's fine as is. A mindgate deck is always slower than rushes, sometimes slow to the point of loss before setup.
It is at a disadvantage to many other types of stall deck because of the fact that they may play cards off the mark, or contain a large variety of cards tht need to be used in combo with others. There is also the fact that you can't pick your cards.

As you have pointed out it can stall until it can play your strategy several times over in a few turns, which is powerful, but countered by it's disadvantages.

Overall, the card is not OP (Maybe even a slight bit UP).

Just because a deck with that card in it beat your deck does not mean the card is broken.

I guarantee the following:
Discord is really effective until you play it
Devourers always steal the exact quanta you need but never your opponents.
Fog blocks all of your attacks but none of your opponents.

This is exactly why people thought pufferfish was overpowered.

Simple rule: NEVER include a card in your deck that, if played against you, is likely to destroy you.

This existed even before mindgate, with a small variation: NEVER play a card that, if played against you, is likely to destroy you.

Example: don't play your Lobo aginst Decay, don't add MFlayers to your forest spirit deck (you are not Elidnis :))), careful with Discord in you mono entropy, etc.

There are exceptions, but you'll find it easier to stick to the general rule for a while.

I don't think this is overpowered. Once they satrt copying you, they don't even have the quanta to play your cards, so it'll also take a while to copy the pillars which you already got with the initial hand. They could be outrushed, or having their gates destroyed.

Actually, I think it's actually quite weak when I try to construct decks myself. And I haven't played against a good mindgate deck either. (But I haven't played against it, so i could of course be underestimating it's power.)

Mindgate is basically the sacrifice of a major card advantage in the early game and transforming it into to massive card advantage in the late game. It takes a while to regain the advantage lost from the 8-9 cards the opponent gets early, especially since that they continue to draw every turn.

This means that without some kind of stall method, Mindgate is hard to get going without getting outrushed or just overpowered.

Sure it's pretty broken in controlled situations, but that's just flavor. It is actually a very difficult card to use properly and there is a lot of strategy involved.
