The only thing I find unfair is the fact of the creature frozen
thaw the opponent's turn, no leaving at least a chance to attack after thawing.
That would solve my problem. Out of frustration I wanted to see if I was the only one to find the Freeze/Congeal skill slightly unbalanced. I am annoyed by the fact that my creatures thaw at the end of the turn while I am using the Swallow deck because as soon as the opponent plays a Squid before I can play one Otyugh, I automatically lose the match. I would never be able to use the devour skill, unless I play another Otyugh in the same turn a frozen one returns to normality, provided the adversary has only one Squid on the field.
As it is now, unless you have a spell to get rid of it, one Squid can permanently control up to 3 creatures while one Octopus goes up to 4. It's not truly an unbalanced card in itself, though, since those creatures are pretty weak, however a minor tweak would make this skill more balanced.

Finally there's another person who thinks that this card is strong (not it term of stats, but in term of use). I consider this critter as a strong one, because I play it. This + Flooding + Ice Shield = Massive Lockdown. I put all 6 of this card in my deck. And now that Water got Shard of Patience, this cute cephalopod which looks like a crab doesn't look as weak before.

Water -> Fire -> Air -> Earth -> Lightning -> Metal -> Light -> Darkness -> Wood -> Water

I just would like my creatures to thaw in my turn instead that at the end of it. Honestly is not a big deal, since this ability annoys me only when I use decks without CC spells and only when this card is played in the first rounds.

A deck I like to use is Octupus with Toad Fish with SoPa. While my creatures grow, I keep in check my opponent army until I am ready to strike. It's a great combination.

The OP card in this combo is SoP, not the Squid - it is strong, but not OP.
One Rain of Fire, Pandemonium or Thunderstorm gets rid of all of them. Not to mention things like Owl's Eye or any other kind of spell CC. Or creature-less decks. Or immaterial creatures.

Ice Shield is basically never-used in unrestricted PvP due to PC being anywhere. And Flooding is considered to be the weakest permanent in the game.

That's why I needed about two years to come up with that combo even though I use  :water from the beginning, because both of those permanents were rarely used neither in PvP nor AI.

I agree, it's a strong card, but not OP. My post was just meant to vent some frustration and to propose a minor tweak, but saying that it's OP would be ridiculous.

Squid was always a strong card. Being able to lock down 3/4 creatures indefinitely is ridiculous.
