How about making dusk mantle actually cause a 50% miss rate?
If you search, there's plenty of images where a dusk mantle causes 75-100% miss rate. How about having it actually be 50% miss rate?

Search on the forums, dusk mantle has plenty of images with 75%-100% of the attacking creatures missing. Heck, when I ran a fire stall, I nearly lost in a deck out because I missed 6 in a row with Fahrenheit.
So: Make Dusk Mantle more fair!

It is actually 50% miss rate, people are just unlucky something and post screenshots of them being unlucky.

I once had 7 creatures on the board facing a dusk mantle for three turns. 1 whole attack missed, and it was a photon :)

As much as I hate this shield when it's used against me, it seems to do a good job of being fair when I use it against my opponent -_-  Also, why did you post a nerf for Dusk Mantle thread twice?

I actually tracked dusk shield once upon a time with over 30 rounds of attacking with multiple attackers. I think it was somewhere in the 80-90 attacks total in those rounds (the sheet I tracked it with got thrown away some time ago). But to the point, the percentage was about 60% miss, though it was a small sample to test on. Ultimately I forewent anymore testing because I believe over time the hit/miss averages out in the run.

It's the long stretches of misses then one big hitting round that frustrates me. Not being able to  predict the hit/miss is the most annoying part of the DS in my opinion. Personally, I'd rather have a shield that simply cuts damage in half so I can at least predict whether or not something I am about to do, or am doing, will be successful or not.

If anything i think this card needs a buff.
If you have dusk mantle, you have no idea whats going to hit you. If he has 100 worth of damage on the field, there is a chance of getting owned, even if you heal for 200 per turn.

Now turtle shield, for the same cost is completely predictable and prevents creatures from using their abilities too.

hmmm....

The only advantage of dusk I see is mono darkness, or preventing your opponent from calculating EM (though at that point you are dead anyways)

It's fine.  I feel about 50% on it.

It's also a good shield because sometimes it will prevent more than 50% of the attacks.  It's part of why you want to play this shield.

I find that what's happnening is more like:
The shield blocks about 50% of the attacks.
That 50% is sometimes the same creature over and over again, and that's the only one actually doing damage.
You get annoyed about it.

Dusk Mantle is not overpowered compared to other shields, if anything it is underpowered considering Fog Shield only costs 2 :air .

Like the birthday paradox.

Example: 5 creatures
Turns 1-5, 3 hit, 2 miss, you don't care
Turn 6 all miss.
You complain. it is 50%. Statitions continue to laugh

That is exactly what happens. It is a proven fact that humans remember bad things more than they remember good things. Have you ever thought that people (parents, your spouse) always criticize you on the bad stuff you do but never remember the good stuff you do? Exactly.
