Facts are: a new member came here and stated that this card is "weak". Other members explained that what he wrote isn't fully correct. This new member goes on his way with no humbleness.

I'm not personal attacking you, but here there are tons of players with much more experience than you, and if you want to learn something you should listen to them.

In particular, about this card:

- Discord is so weak that is usually banned from most weekly tournaments.
- Discord is so weak that is usually one of the most banned cards in Trials.
- Everyone, with a little bit of experience can tell you how discord is a strong weapon.
- The poll above speaks pretty clear (19 votes for OP, 30 votes for balanced, 1 vote for UP).

PS: let's avoid flame here, again, it wasn't a personal attack, just a observation.

Sure, Discord might be very effective situationally (as with many other cards), but it definitely isn't a deal breaker against the vast majority of decks.
As I said earlier, if Discord is OP then what about things like Eternity or Earthquake?
There are much worse threats out there.

Discord is extremely OP in many cases - these situational cases make for a VERY LARGE PART of the match ups - and they are usually banned.

Eternity isn't an issue against a player with a brain who doesn't play his stuff whenever he has the quanta for it like an AI, and guess what, Earthquake is also often banned.

I suggest you look into tournaments and into forum history before trying to tell people that they're newbs or that there are "bigger threats".

Great idea. Iacu will create a great deck with Discord (he's the Master of Entropy, after all, although the banter is mainly between Spike and Falc) and Falconian will try to beat it! :-D

Saying eternity is that much better is completely wrong. Run two rushes on the trainer with a standard mono time/entropy respectively. 4 copies of each weapon for consistency entropy wins 20% more against level 3s. Now, of course this doesn't mean much since balancing is based on pvp, but it gives an idea of how much each effects a game.

Pitting them against each other also swings drastically in the favor of entropy. As much as 9 to 1.

Now, this isn't to say eternity isn't good, but this is a discord thread. Discord gets out earlier, and has a much bigger impact, much quicker. As well as not being able to play around it nearly as well. If you have bought yourself even two turns, that is two turns where you could have been dealing 9-20 damage. That is a huge deficit on your opponent. While on the flip side, eternity doesn't allow you to outright deny damage output like that, you still have to eat attacks. And eating 10 every turn, more if your opponent is smart at all, is a bad thing to be doing if you can help it.

Let's settle the differences with a duel, just like we solve every problem.

We can do that but it wouldn't prove either point.
I could run a deck to counter that (immo, rainbows, strong PC) and discord would do nothing.
The metric of how OP a card is depends on how it fares against all decks; i.e. earthquake or SoW can steamroll most decks, discord not really.

Entropy wins vs Time due to other cards tho, not Discord.
Try running an Entropy deck w/o Discord vs a Time deck wiith Discord, you'll see Time still loses (even if you use upped pendulums to pop discord in turn 1).

I've always found it so absurd that people with little to no PvP experience claim to know which cards should be buffed or nerfed. What are you basing this on, hypothetical PvP matches that you've never actually played? Or worse, matches against an AI opponent with drastically less skill and completely different decks than a PvP opponent? The fact of the matter is that the very best way to determine the power of a card is to see how well it performs at the top levels of PvP. As someone with quite a lot of experience in that area, I can assure you that Discord is one of the centralizing cards in the metagame. You can create fantasies in your head all you want, but when it comes to actual duels, Mono Entropy and Rainbow Disquake are popular decks with high win rates, both centered around using 3-4 Discords. And of course, people will say, "Root, Team Entropy didn't actually win the previous war!" And the reason for that is because Discord, like literally any other card in the game, is not as effective if you know that it's coming. Fire and Aether have done better in War because they have a lot of different powerful strategies, while Entropy is more of a one-trick-pony. Doesn't mean that pony isn't going to stomp all over your grave if you don't see it coming.

Furthermore, there's one issue that nobody has even thought about, and that's whether or not Discord is a positive influence on the metagame. It is very weak against a few decks, and highly powerful against the rest. Does that sound like a well-designed card? People compare it to Black Hole and Rain of Fire, but those cards don't even come close. Stop and think about what the ideal metagame should be like. What percentage of the decks should be Rainbows? What percentage should be Fractal decks? If you want Rainbows to be equally as popular as Monos and Duos, you're going to have a very boring metagame, because there are drastically more different viable Mono/Duo deck archetypes than their are Rainbows. So, if you think that it's reasonable for Discord to be just as powerful against Monos and Duos as Black Hole is against Rainbows, then you're asking for a really boring metagame. As for Rain of Fire, it counters a single card - Fractal. By comparison, Discord counters an entire type of deck, in particular, one that would ideally make up most of the metagame. Really, which do you think is more impactful? By the way, Discord is probably stronger against Monos and Duos than Black Hole is against Rainbows.

Honestly, I don't even like posting in this section anymore, because there's just way too much misinformation, which annoys me. I just came because there were chat accusations that Spike was being mean, or something like that. But Spike has simply been correcting misinformation, and if that hurts people's feelings, then so be it.

Now, can we finally get around to deleting this forum section?

Now, can we finally get around to deleting this forum section?
This forum section is invaluable for newbies like me. For instance, I wrote on this thread to vent my frustration about the effects of this card, assuming to be rightfully irritated by its OPness. The comments and the arguments offered to me by the experts of this game put everything in the right perspective and helped me to understand in which way my opinion was wrong.

While this section wasn't meant to be "educative" it truly is, because by reading the discussions about other cards I used to consider OP, I was able to learn the pros and the cons of each combination.

Now, if you are saying that a newbie has no right to express his opinion due to his lack of knowledge, you are probably forgetting that you were a newbie yourself, at a certain point, and that you too asked some questions or claimed things that you would consider stupid now, and I am sure you learned something in the process. Writing something wrong and being corrected is much more constructive than being afraid to speak up and maintaining the wrong opinion.

I am surprised by your attitude toward this matter.

Let's not change what happened here, anyone can read it.
I was making points about Discord and Spike did not address any of them but rather proceeded to belittle me calling me inexperienced, which is false (I proved earlier that I've been PvPing since 2012, I just lost my old forum account).
Hopefully that was just one case and this subforum is not a hostile hive of cronyistic elitists where people without fancy badges or colored nicknames are bullied around, that'd be a shame.
Anyways I'll just be off to other sections for the time being, I don't want to feed any drama.
I just ask to not spread more false information about me. Thanks.
