u can't think to win against everything, even the most skilled player in the world can lose against something if he has a negative match up against another deck

also i don't understand why using SoVs in a pestal, replace ur SoVs with steal next time

What SoV? I see vamps and devs. That deck started with 1 hp. And gained three with SS

but the concept is the same, the original pestal has 2 steal if i remember well (but is supposed to be used in plat/gold, where dim shield are rare or at least not so common like in bronze or silver) u can even try 3 copies

The original Pestal (or at least the first post about it) has no Steals at all, and for good reason: http://elementscommunity.org/forum/duo-decks/pestal-101/
Pestal is all about early denial, so you remove anything that doesn't suit that. Steal may be helpful vs. Sanctuary, but they can also easily clog your hand for Fractal. I am not going much deeper into that, as all is mentioned in the topic and this one is about Dims.

I agree that the problem was QP > Devs in this case, but this example shows well how Dims hard counter so many things, letting them simply no chance without effective denial, PC or shield bypass (that can mostly even be weakened by Lobo) or being a deck-out, of course.

"Pestal 101" has always been one of the most bizarre threads to me because it really doesn't represent the typical Pestal. They -always- have at least 2 Steals and sometimes 3 or 4 in PvP and against Arena. Anything less than 2 is instaloss against far too many cards. There are specifically designed Devtals without Steals, but that's when you're predicting one specific deck. One variant loads up on Silences to maximize the denial potential.

Xeno did add a more standard version after obvious feedback, but it's sadly not the first one.

So true XD Once, when I han't got skills and I added every single card I liked to my deck I won against a better player twice
1 due to my single SoD in a 60 card deck against voodo Bravery
2 due to a 2nd-3rd turn pulveruzer(same REALLY crappy 60 cards and only 1 pulverizer)

I think this card really kind of defines the game... in that if you play arena, your deck MUST be able to counter this, as dimensional shield is always strong. Always.
I see how this could make it look overpowered. But honestly, the same goes for creature damaging! Every deck needs some way of dealing with enemy creatures... so I suppose you could say that this is ok by that standard.

Not every deck is a domin or a stall. Also, it's kind of problematic to imply that light is a nonviable element.

A lot of decks don't need a way to deal with creatures. Rushes for instance don't care.
