NO! If it was buffed, that would make it as invincible as the phase dragon!

To forum members: he's joking, right?

Devourer/Pest doesn't need a nerf. On the turn your opponent plays one, just kill it. Decks with Devourers/Pests in the don't tend to burrow them (unless they also have EQs).

Except, once I figure out the strategy with devourers, its already too late, especially with decks that use fractal on them.

I know right! That phase dragon gets through all my shields, is very cheap, does lots of damage, and I can't harm it at all!

IMO devtosis is more powerful. Devourers don't have any direct counter other than early CC with novas and immolations, they are freaking powerful if 2 of them come in early game but that requieres some luck.

Well, I do believe that the Garboid is just fine as a card. The Pest is fine as well.

Why you may ask? It has simple counters. Sanctuary? Completely nullifies the effect. They stole your sanctuary? Have more, or Enchant Artifact.

Otyughs also find them to be quite tasty.

Also, please change the topic name. It is Devourer/Pest, I thought you wanted to nerf TWO cards at first.

I don't think it's too difficult to realize that a deck with Darkness and Aether together => Devtal, and Darkness and Life together => Devtosis or something with mass vampires and healing. It should be easy to adjust play style accordingly. Also, Sanctuary and RoF completely annihilate such strategies.

Please, provide an example deck that is "overpowered" before you say random decks are.
Devtal is far from over powered. Same with devtosis. Or even mono dark for that matter.

A deck composed of:

Aether Pendulums (with mark of darkness)
Fractals
Pests
Vampires
Nightfalls

is an overpowered deck
ENTROPY is the ultimate force in demolition. Always present, it tries to steal our order.

is classic Pestal.

It's very strong, certainly, and it counters a lot of decks, but it's also weak against others.
