I agree, and think that there should at least be some clear indication as to which skills can be lobo'd and why - other han simply by playing enough to find out.
Put the mouse over the creature. If it has an active skill, then that skill can be lobo'd.
Alternatively you can memorize the short list of passive skills and note the short list of status effects.

Not very newb freindly! I mean there should be some way, other than by memorising a list, to be able to see these kind of details about a card from the deck screen. Anyway, it's getting off-topic so I'll end on saying: actually I think Adrenaline is fine as it is :P Definitely the best counter that I can see is poison, and a nice bit of defence to make up for the rush damage.
Unfortunately the in match display is not optimally newb friendly since it is not available during deckbuilding.
There is the wiki for those that use it.

Actually I was wondering why adrenaline can't be lobotomized but momentum can? I do apologize for not making that clear. They are both status effects so why can't they both be removed with lobotomize?
Momentum--->active skill
Adrenaline--->passive skillfalse

lobotomizing only removes active skills, just like how it won't remove a scarab's swarm or a devourer's quanta stealing.
Adrenaline is a status effect. It is not a skill.
Momentum is both an active skill (can be lobo'd) and a status effect (does not monopolize the active skill slot).
Lobotomize only removes active skills. Since momentum is both an active skill and a status it is removed. Adrenaline/Frozen/Delayed/Infected/... (merely a status) is not a skill and thus is not removed.

I get the passive vs active skill argument. However momentum acts like both a passive and active skill. Case in point: If you mutate a creature with momentum the new creature keeps the momentum. Same with adrenaline. No other skill active or passive does that. If they both act the same way, why can't lobotomize remove both?

furballdn was misinformed.

Adrenaline is a status effect not a passive skill. (Same as Frozen)
Momentum is both an active skill and a status effect. (Same as Immaterial)
Mutant is a passive skill acquired by being mutated.

Infection, Alfatoxin, Frozen, Delayed, Adrenaline all act the same as status effects.
Momentum and Immaterial both act the same as active skill-status pairs.

Momentum and Immaterial are both active skills so that Charger, Immortal and Phase Dragon could start with them
Momentum and Immaterial are both status effects so that Momentum and Quint spells would not lobotomize their targets

Lobotomize only affects active skills. Not passive skills or status effects. Since Momentum is both an active skill and a status effect it can be lobotomized.

Thank you for explaining this. I just got confused by skills vs status effects. I was surprised that momentum could be removed but adrenaline could not. I was just wondering why that was. Adrenaline is very annoying. An adrenalized creature can nearly take out a newly cast bone wall by itself in one turn.

@OT:

Actually, Momentum is not the same as Immaterial.

The spell Quintessence only places the status onto creatures, much like Adrenaline, Freeze, and Basilisk Blood. The ability "immaterial" is either an indicator or has the same effect as Quintessence (giving a creature/permanent the status when it is played).

Thanks for the correction.

I wonder why Momentum gives an active ability to vanilla creatures but Quint doesn't.

Lobotomizer removes only the status that come naturally with a creature -Chimera is the exception.
Why do u wanna nerf adrenaline, though? Lobos are 90% of the times in mono  :aether decks and dim shield breaks adrenaline.

Chimera doesn't count as creature.
Yes, it does.
I was talking about the lobotomize effect in general. it's the exception, I didn't mean that it's not a creature itself. Corrected
