There's gotta be some people with good music taste on this forum.

Classic Bands/Songs, New Bands/Songs, upcoming albums, complaining about the trash that the majority of the radios playlist is:
Post 'em here, we care!

(Alt. Rock is just how people seem to classify the music I listen to. Anything good that doesn't sound like it was made on a computer/autotuned to death - is welcome here)

Slide Away (
)  Oh Man. Everyone should listen to this one. Might not be your thing, but its worth taking a chance.

Underground (
)  Powerful beat, could probably even be playlisted on the radio. This one will get you up and going.

Lucky Man (
&ob=av3e)  Slowest song I linked here, but I wanted a little variety.

In One Ear (
) Arrogant. Confrontational. Powerful. It's cool.

If I Had a Gun (
) A softer-ish one again. For RavRav and co if they happen to be watching. Great song, everyone should give this one a listen too.

@Malebogia.

Deanne the Arsonist. That ones powerful, raw. Not really my style, little too fuzzy and metally, but it was a decent listen. Love the album cover next to the song though
And the saxophone one...well, I liked the saxophone guy, and his bit :). (And his glasses, man I wish I had a pair like that). Its a shame the song had to start again ;)

I know very little about music, and even less about what constitutes 'alternative' music, but here's a few of my lesser-known favourites:

Vanilla Ninja: This group is from Estonia, and apparently they were really REALLY big there, but nobody I have mentioned them to here in Canada knows them.  They haven't made anything for a few years, but they are my favourite music group ever.  And two of the girls are REALLY hot :D:D:D

Anyway, going through my playlist for groups that aren't that well-known.  (as far as I know)

Jakalope: This group has some good songs too.  Again, I'm terrible at classifying music, but whatever.
Maren Ord: She was pretty big locally for awhile.  I went to high school with her, and she released a couple CDs, but she's married and raising a family now, and hasn't released any music for a long time.  (that I know of; haven't talked to her for a couple years either, as she moved away)
Porcelain and the Tramps: This group has some bad language, so if you are against that, stay away.  I like their music anyway, even in spite of that.
Ayria: Her songs are longer than most people's (warning to peopel with ADD! :p) I think she'd be classified under 'trance' music, but I'm not sure.
Sirenia: This group is what would be called 'pagan' music, I'd think, since that's the theme of a lot of their songs.  "The Other Side" is my favourite song from them.

Wow, someone who lives in Canada, knows Vanilla Ninja  :o . Not exactly my taste of music, but girls there were hot indeed. And they still are hot  :) .

I'm guessing you're either Canadian or Estonian by that comment :p  I hadn't heard of them until I started using the website www.last.fm, where you put in bands you like and it spits out recommendations of other bands.  They were one it recommended to me.
