Japanese retro electronica GO! (and other stuff) https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=24080.msg307597#msg307597

I've been getting into some pretty unusual music lately.  Architecture in Helsinki, for one... but that's New Zealand.

My friend Erik introduced me to Orange Lounge, which has some presence in DDR - the song "Mobo Moga."  After checking them out on YouTube, that is actually one of their songs I like least (though I still like it).  It is faux French pop written by a Japanese person.  Check out the following:

Mobo Moga (
)
Orange Air-Line (
)
Marmalade Reverie (
&feature=related)
Dimanche (
&feature=related) (French for "Sunday")
Les Filles Balancent (
&feature=fvwrel) (French for "balanced girls," roughly)

And then I went browsing more related YouTube links:

Tomosuke's "Chocolate Philosophy" (
&feature=related)

The best thing I found from Orange Lounge, though, is Capsule.  They seem to favor retro electronica sounds, but their style varies greatly from song to song.  Here are a couple of my favorites:

Cosmic Tone Cooking (
&feature=related)
Life Style Music (
&feature=related)
Soratobu Toshikeikaku (
&feature=related)

The last one there was also made into an animated music video (
) by Studio Ghibli, of Spirited Away and My Neighbor Totoro fame.

Based on this style, if anyone has any links to send me of stuff I might like, feel free!  :D
