Well, I played piano for a couple years back in '04, when I was just a young tot.

Then I tried trombone last year and found I couldn't.

Ah well. I guess there's always Audacity.
Bit of a discovery. I'm good with lyrics and beats and stuff. Doesn't technically count, but I think it's worth something.

Just not with Audacity. I sux at Audacity.

I play fruity loops studio Baratone, but that was one year in 6th grade. Got kicked out when I tried for band in 7th because I didn't practice enough the year before. >_>

I used to play piano (not keyboard; I stuck to classical).  I quit about... four years ago.
This thing seemed dead inside. It seemed like an automaton, trying to act like as if it was alive. The effect was unsettling.
Orianna made a sound that supposed to a girl's squeal of glee and hugged The Ball. While it might have been touching, it was unfortunately only horrifying.

My main instrument is piano; I also play the violin, flute, and trumpet, and I can sing (low baritone).  I can get by on the french horn, trombone, tenor sax, B flat clarinet, oboe, xylophone, and snare drum.

College concert band.  I was in the percussion section since they didn't have a need for piano; drum kit is not often used in concert bands, but snare drum is.  That's also where I learned xylophone (and by association, marimba, vibraphone, glockenspiel, chimes, etc - mallet percussion is easy to pick up for a pianist).  I didn't mention timpani, bass drum, crash cymbal, or suspended cymbal, because those things are so easy to learn.  Snare drum is not one of my better instruments; the rolls were always tough for me.

right, thats what confused me, I didnt see how you couldnt have learnt the others

but if what you had trouble with on snares was rolls, then how did you manage with rolls on sus cymbal, bass drum, and timpani?
