Those are much more forgiving, and in fact sus cymbal doesn't have any double-ricochets at all.  The larger recoil of bass drum and timpani, as well as the fact that all the rolls are long and spaced out well, made them much easier.  Snare drum for concert band is demanding and often has very complex rhythms.
