Artois, you may very well have deserved Helios' British Official Badge of Awesomeness :)
A splendid notion, even though I say so myself.  Three cheers for me, hip-hip-hooray...

I will, certainly. That decision is not difficult for me.

Excellent news then. What did you think of the USA - England match. Terrible eh? All the crappy jokes the Americans have made, really annoys me, especially after the spectacular save Rob made in the 2nd half.

To be completely honest, we have not been performing very well...especially with the tie against Algeria :(

Lets hope we win our last game and squeeze through. Though with the form we have been in, I'm not feeling particularly optimistic. Still...

As a matter of fact, I am not from jolly England, but I did visit once on a diversional venture to London. It was bloody brilliant.
Was that convincing enough?
I had a bloody brilliant trip to England myself this summer! =) Its a great place! The land where they drink tea, drive on the wrong side of the road, and have red convertible buses! Mighty cool I must say! I would love to share a cup of tea with both confirmed englishmen in here, Hobs and Helios! If I forgot someone, im sorry, but I would probably share a cup of tea with you aswell =) I love britain, because when I was in London, one thing was a clear difference from Norway and us vikings, everyone was so polite and nice. I bumped into this lady, and SHE apologized o.0 Back home someone just grunts and moves along xD (well, its a 50/50) so I loved that

Kinda sucks with a english thread tho, not like you can plot against anyone in your own language or anything xD

Lovely to hear that you enjoyed your stay. I must say I've never hears then being referred to as "convertible buses." :))

Absolutely delightful, Sven! :)

However, while England may appear as quite a quaint land with quaint people to others with "tea drinking, and red convertible buses", we should not forget whom it was whom once had an unrivalled, unparalleled Empire spanning one-fifth of the globe, and whom it was that stood alone against Hitler's Germany when France fell, with Britain being the last remaining beacon of light for the free world while the Soviet Union and America remained neutral, and endured the Blitz of 1940-41 and the V1/V2 Rocket bombings, and even the ordinary heroic courage of the firemen of our cities whom battled the flames of German bombings, or those whom worked to feed our nation, and finally, how as a people we perservered through it all with undampened spirit.

Essentially, in the words of Shakespeare's Henry V,

"In peace there's nothing so becomes a man
As modest stillness and humility:
But when the blast of war blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the tiger...;"

And of course, as the dear Sir Winston Churchill said, "Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves, that if the British Empire and its Commonwealth last for a thousand years, men will still say, this was their finest hour."

In summary, I completely agree with you, Sven; my aim is to simply expound and elucidate upon another aspect of Britain.

Dear boy, it's awfully bad form to blow one's own trumpet, don't you know.  One must be particularly careful to avoid sounding like those demned colonials from across the pond.

Earl Grey with a drop of honey, no milk, thank you.

I was objectively making a point which I believe to be true; if you would like to dispute anything I have said, feel free to do so.
