Ambassadors

Realizing that not all people speak fluent English on these forums and most likely speak another native language, it came to me that perhaps there could be a team of perhaps 5 Ambassadors, say 5 French Ambassadors on the forums whose light duty would be to carry out English to French and French to English translations. This would help some people and would let those who only know French feel comfortable knowing that they would have ways to communicate, regardless of what language they know.

Translations of course would be done solely through forum boards, as private messaging could lead to serious communication issues, some bannable ones. Though of course, Ambassadors could be chosen for their respect and dignity in the forum community.

This is of course just an idea to be thrown out there and see what people have to say, not necessarily an idea that's guaranteed to work.

its a shame this game doesn't have translations (also since its in flash no google chrome translations). I have a friend who also plays but i have to explain the cards to him. Maybe the wiki with the cards should have translations?

^^This. The main "problem" here is the game. Altough if the game has an option to change languages there will be a problem in the forums, since then it SHOULD have some sort of traduction board/team.

Ehem, why French? I mean, if French people tend to speak other idioms then ok, but as far as I know, the 3 most spoken languages all over the world are Chinese (dunno if there are many of them here), Spanish, and then English.
I get that French people are reluctant to accept English as an international language (see metric system discussion), but at least we should have multi-languaged ambassadors (or, say, 2-3 per language).

I speak the sixth most spoken language in the world, portuguese. Last years online Magic player was Brazilian, he speaks portuguese. Theres a very big brazilian magic community. I'm from Portugal, a small country but with lots of communities all over the world.

If the text from the cards come from text files, this should be a easy task to translate them. Most games and apps are build like this. The text is not in the code but from external files, simples text variables, xml, json or even a database.

About the forum, I guess using Chromes build in translator may help. We just have to be tolerant.

This actually happens, but what we are discussing is going further... Maybe a whole new board for ambassadors/traduction. The idea is to throw ideas
