And Napoleon Dynamite... 5 minutes into the movie, when Napoleon was eating cold tater tots out of his pocket and refusing to share with his friend, who for some reason wanted some... I quit. Completely asinine.
This is utter blasphemy. Napoleon Dynamite is one of the best movies ever made hands down. You say he was refusing to share with his "friend". That was not his friend, Napoleon doesnt need friends, that was his bully. This scene actually holds a lot of merit. This is the first time we see the bully, and this scene also shows that Napoleon will stand up for himself. After refusing to give the bully the tots, the bully kicks his pocket to smash the tots. Not only is this comedy gold, but it shows just how self actualized Napoleon is. He doesnt react with violence, he doesnt flee the scene, he accepts what happened. He moves on and doesnt bring it up again in the rest of the movie.
Napoleon Dynamite is a movie with fantastic character development, a deep and realistic plot, and some moments of fantastic comedy. Each character in the movie, no matter how minor, is fully fleshed out and easy to relate to someone in life or to thy self.
