Title: Worst Movies.
Post by: crimsonflippa on April 28, 2011, 09:17:24 am
I have been fooled so many times, going to the theater spending between €10 - 12.50 that is  $15-18. Just to sit and watch a movie which has either no real storyline, has a good story but suddenly ends with a lame ending. Or you just feel you have fooled by the trailers. So I would like people to sum up some of the movies you regretted wasting your money or if you watched it online even regretted wasting your time. If the crappy movie you watched is still in theaters, your review might be preventing some serious eye trauma and brain damage.

I will start off with some movies:
Avatar: The last airbender. I watched this one online for 20 minutes then spit on my laptop screen. I had watched the animated series of this movie and for some reason i expected to see something similar to it. Or at least I expected the story to be the same, it was not, and the cast was wrongly picked not matching the charachters.

Skyline. Tbh I already had the feeling this movie would be crap, the makers just copied the idea of a succesfull movie idea, in this case alien invasion and just `rickrolled`the cinema visitors. I felt like the movie lasted 10 minutes cause basically nothing happens and just when you think its gonna get exciting the movie ends.

I cant really think of more titles at the moment, since I decided to put away those bad bad memories somewhere in the deep darkness of my mind ::)

The worst Movies I've ever seen are these:

Fire and Ice: The Dragon Chronicles (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fire_and_Ice:_The_Dragon_Chronicles)
The story sounds great, the trailer looks interesting.
The Movie isn't, not in the slightest.
I'd even say you have to watch this move (or try as far as you get) to have seen an epically fail movie.

The Pirates of Langkasuka (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queens_of_Langkasuka)
Again, it shows a promising storyline and trailer.
This move is in one word: Boring as hell (counts one, two, erm... one.)
If the world end in 2 hours, watch this movie and you think the world lasted for another day. Afterwards you will happily say goodbye to the world in which such a movie was produced.

Avatar: The last airbender
I liked the movie actually. It had nothing much to do with the cartoon but was a movie on its own with a lot of similarities to the cartoon, like names of the characters and basic idea of the storyline.

Skyline.
I watched this movie just after quitting the Pirates of Langkasuka and I loved it.
But I might have even loved teletubbys after seeing half of that movie.

I am watching it right now. The trailer looked really awesome  ::) ,, ok just wasted 70minutes of my life.

The worst films I have seen so far are :

1.Street fighter ( omg, omg ,omg i vomited after this one )
2.Dragon ball ( same coment ...)
3.Twilight (...)
4.....

We must say that list is so long that is insignificant to write about all of them.
I do not understand how can someone with so much budget scrue up this 3 movies ... especially "Street fighter" that movie had to be god cuz game is legendary and it is going for over 20 years ...

Cheers and best wishes  8)

I can only speak for the first one, but it sucked hard.  I have no desire to see any more.  It's pretty hard for me to pick a 'worst movie ever', but I'll second Tom Bombadil's criticism of "Children of Men."  That sucked bad, too.  And Napoleon Dynamite... 5 minutes into the movie, when Napoleon was eating cold tater tots out of his pocket and refusing to share with his friend, who for some reason wanted some... I quit.  Completely asinine.

Eragon.
Definitely agree with this one.  The way that they changed just about everything from what went on in the book made it so that I doubt they'll be able to continue the series without recreating the first one from scratch.  Possibly my favorite part was when Saphira flew up into the sky as a baby and suddenly came back a full-grown dragon...with absolutely no explanation as to how that happened.  Terribly disappointing for me.

Citizen Kane

I mean what kind of movie doesn't even have colours? Damn hipsters screwing up movies. Weak plot and weaker characterization, I mean why would Citizen Kane clap for that women's singing when she isn't very good? Doesn't make sense. And they didn't even explain everything in the end. Is that a cliffhanger for a sequel? The camera work was terrible too. There was this part where this guy was suppose to be walking towards the camera, but instead it looked like he was getting bigger! Awful movie 0/10.

Eragon would have been a great movie...if it was completely unrelated to a book with 3 sequels. How they made the movie makes it literally impossible to make a movie of Eldest and beyond without changing even more around.

I quite like terrible movies.

To explain, I was pretty much raised on MST3K, still watch regularly, an' currently, with the Rifftrax.

But I don't think that's what you lot are goin' on about in this case. The things I like least tend to be the dumb frat-boy type comedies. I could gladly have lived through life without being aware of 'Dude Where's My Car?'.

[...] random blood and boobs running around.
whats wrong with that? =)

"random blood" just reminded me of the Movie: "Tokyo Gore Police"
Didn't read anything about that movie and didn't watch a trailer before I tried to watch it. My bad.
"Tokyo Gore Police" is just sick. I watched 5 minutes, was like wtf o.O? Zapped through the movie and was like WHAT THE ZANZARINO!!!???
Watched a Film Report of "Tokyo Gore Police" after that, the first few words of the narrator:
Quote
Following is the zanzarinoing sickest zanzarino which you have ever seen in your life. And its the zanzarinoing sickest zanzarino which I have seen in my zanzarino life. And I've zanzarinoing seen a lot of zanzarinoing zanzarino, zanzarino. While watching this movie I sometimes thought that I swapped my bottle of Jim Beam with a mixture of heroine and a crocodile drug. I can't believe that this movie even exists, who the hell produces something like this?
This movie consists of unreal brutality and blood. And a... storyline ... which can be fully described in roughly 10 words. And a zanzarinoing big ammount of more blood.
Yeah, if you think it can't possibly be that bad, watch a trailer. But I'd suggest to NOT do it, if you are either under age or don't get like horny from seeing brutal stuff with loads of blood.
I regret having seen those 5 minutes of that movie, but I really liked what the narrator in the Film Report said about that movie xD

Nope. It's 'Plan'.

Watched it rather recently myself, as it was done by the Rifftrax crew (The same guys who did MST3K).

Ugh, Suckerpunch was just that, a suckerpunch. Think youre getting a cool movie? HAH! We just tossed a bunch of failed action movie scenes together with the loosest possible definition of a "plot". Oh and some kind  of dance so amazing it leaves everyone speechless? Yeah, all you get to see is a girl steping left and right like she needs to pee. Suckerpunch can't be the worst movie because there is no way that is a movie.

I really, really, really wanted to like sucker punch.  In the beginning, I thought it would be another one of those movies that screws with your mind in a good way like The Prestige or Donnie Darko.  In reality, it just played out like a poorly executed video game.

And Napoleon Dynamite... 5 minutes into the movie, when Napoleon was eating cold tater tots out of his pocket and refusing to share with his friend, who for some reason wanted some... I quit.  Completely asinine.

This is utter blasphemy. Napoleon Dynamite is one of the best movies ever made hands down. You say he was refusing to share with his "friend". That was not his friend, Napoleon doesnt need friends, that was his bully. This scene actually holds a lot of merit. This is the first time we see the bully, and this scene also shows that Napoleon will stand up for himself. After refusing to give the bully the tots, the bully kicks his pocket to smash the tots. Not only is this comedy gold, but it shows just how self actualized Napoleon is. He doesnt react with violence, he doesnt flee the scene, he accepts what happened. He moves on and doesnt bring it up again in the rest of the movie.
Napoleon Dynamite is a movie with fantastic character development, a deep and realistic plot, and some moments of fantastic comedy. Each character in the movie, no matter how minor, is fully fleshed out and easy to relate to someone in life or to thy self.
