Yes, I'd agree that 4 seasons of fighting Amon would not be very good. I didn't like, though, how she started the show off already knowing 3/4 of the Elements. I also don't like how she just slips in and out of the Avatar state at will (as seen in her air-ball racing).

Yea, it just ruins the previous season. :/ Oh well... huge melons compensate?

Yes, but do you ever actually see the Cabbage Merchant? Or do they just say that he owns Cabbage Corp?
And I think the villain you're looking for is Hiroshi Sato of Future Industries.

I personally hated the first season as soon as the relationships started taking over the plot (something that can't happen in a 12-episode series with another major story), Mako became a two timing jerk, and Amon was made to be a bender out for his own purposes in order to make ALL the Equalists were portrayed as evil, when they actually had a point.
However, because book 2 has a new storyline I've been able to push the first book out of my mind and am quite pleased with how it's taking shape. It's still too early to say, but I think I'll enjoy it as much as the original Avatar. (As long as Korra learns to grow up. Seriously.) Also, ignoring everything that happened in the first book, my Masami feels are taking over <3

I also like season 2 better than the Avatar movie.

Although the season 1's plotline IDEA was nice, they executed very badly and ended up portraying a moral opposite of what it should have been (non-benders aren't as good as benders!). For season 2, it looks like they have chosen a plotline they can cope with, and while it isn't as good as the inequality thing, a good idea portrayed well is better than an amazing idea portrayed badly. I could go into detail as to exactly why I hate season 1, but I'd rather not spoil it for those who like it, because I wish I could like it as well.

I'm just glad that they're doing benders-vs-benders as opposed to benders-vs-super gymnastic people
I'm looking more for the animation, not the plot. Though Korra points out a lot of "grown-up" problems, like corruption and greed, etc. I suppose that's one of the producer's main goals.

Well, Aang vs. Ozai was pretty epic.


But Amon was a fantastic antagonist, imo.
