The newest pokemon movie was pretty good. I don't watch the series too often at all, but the movies always get me

Pokemon has become almost like a classic.
The Gundam series and Dragon Ball series will always be the two that made anime popular though.
Just my opinion 

I started watching Dragonball Z before I ever saw Dragonball. I like them both now still, to be honest... But I'm still not too big on Dragonball GT.

Read the manga, in my opinion it's better besides the movies, but that's just me. Don't really like the voices too much

The manga for which series? Or for all of them even? I have read a few of the ones for Dragonball, but not too many, not really even sure where I would find them for that matter.

I never really watched Astro Boy...
Did it come out before Dragon Ball or Gundam? o-o

Astro Boy and Megaman(?) are also pretty old animes.

You do admit that Gundam and Dragon Ball were big influences on Anime as well though right?

Oh no doubt. There are a lot of of key animes that helped start off different things. Sailor Moon was a big staple for starting the magical girl genre.

Yeah.. I doubt the mainstream animes like Naruto and Bleach would be here if the old animes hadn't been such a big impact.

There's also been a lot of Romance animes that started this year o-o Maybe it's just me.

Mhmm, very true. A lot of the anime we have now is thanks to lesser known anime. But the more current ones just did it better and get more publicity. Like Sailor Moon(again XP) started the chain of a lot of magical girl animes, many of which most people probably haven't heard of.

Ohh if your a fan of Gundam, watch Gundam SEED or Gundam 00

I'm not a huge mecha fan, actually. Zoids was awesome but rather different from the Gundams style. But Neon Genesis Evangelion is my favorite, hands down. I love that anime.
