Hmmm before you lock the topic, I wanted to discuss a couple of things.
1. Illegal decks. If your opponent plays an illegal deck. I feel they shouldn't be allowed to just replay the match without repercussions. I don't see a huge problem with illegal matches just being treated as a bye for the non-offender.
2. I thought a few people became disinterested last time around after losing due to the fact they felt they had no chance. I think this has been address by both making things random instead of swiss and the PvP parasite keeps players involved. Correct?
3. I thought there was a big issue with 1 loss really acting as 2 in this event. People that were stuck mid morph, were having to try and morph out of it again the next round, even if it was a poor deck. This really decreased the "fun" factor for each player in each round. I don't think the 9. Mercy! rule properly addresses this situation yet. I think it would be best if each loss reset your deck back to where you were at with the last mark completed. If a game has not been won yet, a loss would reset to your original starter deck. Yes, this means you need to have built a solid first deck to work from in case of early losses. 9. Mercy! would still be a viable rule in this situation because if people morphed into a bad deck upon gaining a new mark, they are able to call Mercy! later if they want, which would take them back to the previous deck from the previous mark.
