That's a good point, but currently we have no filter for joining as a Mentor. Can I assign you to create a minimum requirement, or to be our Mentor Checker? ^^

I think one tournament win could be good as an absolute lower limit. But some of those people are still far from being suitable as Mentors. Or - maybe there could just be "Recommended Mentors" who have already proven themselves in PvP. This way, you don't really have to exclude anyone, but apprentices will generally have better players working with them.

Oh. Hmph. I could have sworn you had won one before. Although you don't really compete in them often. You've had plenty of experience in war, trials, events, so I'd say you're an exception.

I joined after you started disappearing root I've had plenty of pvp experience but true I'm no expert hence a beginners insight just because someone has no pvp rewards does not necessarily mean they can't help people get into pvp I of all people know the difference between playing for fun and playing competitively just because I haven't won anything doesn't mean I suck at pvp. Anyone whose played me recently including ddevs would say I not a terrible pvper. I find it rather insulting that someone who hasn't got any pvp rewards therefore cannot tutor in aspects of competitive pvp.

You're also a glaring exception because you've hosted more tournaments than a lot of people today have participated in.

Does me not having the time to participate in tourney's unexperienced?
Or is that all that matters? The only thing new players want to check out?
The only way to have experience with deckbuilding?
Even, the only way to have experience with pvp?

Counting wins by tournament awards is a bad example imo, because there were many many times where I ended up second or third, just because someone of the highest veterans kicked me out in the semifinals, and most of the time they were the same people. And just because I'm not better than them, I can still be a good player, or at least I know what I'm doing in the topics that I listed under my name.

Well to be honest I think a time limit and post limit sounds good. I would put the time count on 1 year and post count on 150. Maybe also add a minimum in game score on 100K or something.

Furthermore I don't think that many mentors are needed. Around 5 mentoers should cover up the stream of new beginners or people who would like guidelines.

This is exactly why I want to have stricter minimum requirements. Not because it's impossible for someone to be a good mentor without PvP experience, but because we have enough people willing to be Mentors, so why take the risk by having a Mentor with no PvP awards?
