(I figured that it would be fine If I posted my own lore. This story puts down the lore for Maxwell's demon, chaos power, pandemonium, and chaos seed.
In the vast realm of
there lived a mathematician named Maxwell. He, like most other
mathematicians, appreciated symmetry and order, and spent his time providing orderly proofs of theorems involving the geometry of regular polygons. One day, however, a necromancer attacked his village, sending down skeletons, mummies and bone dragons. Everyone was killed except for him, because he was traveling away from the village. Apon his return to the village, instead of finding his warm, welcoming family, he found the looted husks of homes and dead bodies. Instead of committing suicide, his internal order due to his
nature forced him to continue his work, but instead of the neat proofs he had provided earlier, he gave convoluted masses of cyclical reasoning to prove even the most basic of theorems. Finally, he broke down. The attack had disturbed his inner order and slowly morphed him into an
elemental, the enemy of all
elemental. He killed a woman in a fit of rage, forcing the
council to jail him. In jail, his rage festered, and instead of just being rightful rage at the necromancer, his rage became an unjustified hate of the entire world. Secretly, in his cell, he began his experiments. Finally, he succeeded. He managed to create an
bolt known as chaos seed, which he named after the seed of hate the necromancer had placed in his heart. The next time he was let out of his cage for exercise, he unleashed his spell on his guards, slaying them in horrible manners, each different from the first. He raced out onto the street, killing everyone he saw, creating an effect known as Pandemonium. Finally, the Other realm, the realm of dead elementals and gods, decided to react. It created a beast, nay, a demon, and sent it into the world to stop Maxwell. Maxwell, seeing the gash in the sky that the demon had appeared out of mid air, panicked, and threw the rest of his Chaos Seeds at it. The chaos seeds wreaked havoc apon the demon, bringing it down to a mere beast, however, since the inner nature of the beast was
, instead of being killed, the demon, while weakened, gained a strange power, a power of chaos. While it would have no power apon the weak, it would be able to smite the strong with impunity, a true paradox. The demon took the soul of Maxwell, but since it was no longer an ethereal being, it could not enter the Other realm again, and instead, it disappeared to punish those who had overstepped their bounds. Forevermore, it was called Maxwell's demon, because it was because of Maxwell that it was brought into existence.
