Vault building and decks https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=38963.msg484183#msg484183

OK, thinking about Vault building my idea is that we should make some decks that work all-around and then try to fit them in a Vault Previously, I would've tried to make 11 decks (1 per element), but the 300(289) cards restriction doesn't quite allow us to do it this time. So what I propose is that (especially when you can't find anybody in our team chat) to make some decks that you think would be very important to have. Again, I'd like to ask you to only post versatile decks, as chances are high that we will only be able to have around 8 decks.

The decks will also go up here in the first post. I will also do my best to tweak any of your ideas if I can, as that is one of my strong points.

P.S. Please use spoilers.

Good deck beats a handful of stalls best used agiasnt aether and probably water or fire incase of firestall can also rush pretty well to.

As the Light veteran here, I feel obliged to post some more standard Light decks - specifically stalls, as those are my favorite.

Spoiler for classics:
Spoiler for Water Stall:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5i8 5i8 5i8 5i8 5i8 5i8 5i9 5i9 5i9 5i9 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5lh 5lh 5li 5li 5lm 5lm 5lm 5lm 5lm 5lm 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 8pp

For better success some Water Pillars/Pends can be added (altering the Light Pend/Pillar ratio a little, of course), but I believe that it is hardly worth it given the small Vaults.
Spoiler for Fire Stall:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5f4 5f4 5f4 5f4 5f4 5f4 5f5 5f5 5f5 5f5 5fb 5fb 5fb 5fb 5fb 5fb 5lh 5lh 5lm 5lm 5lm 5lm 5lm 5lm 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 8po

Again, Fire pillars/pends are good but probably not worth it (tho more worth it than in the Water Stall).
Spoiler for Earth Stall:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
58o 58o 58s 58s 58s 58s 593 593 593 593 593 593 594 594 594 594 594 594 5aa 5aa 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5li 5li 5li 5li 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 8pm

Earth Pillars/Pends are most important here, I would definitely advice in favor of keeping them. This deck is the one that could maybe have some modifications, with Wardens and Basilisk Blood and whatnot, although I consider the current version to be the best one against a Pillar-ed deck.
Spoiler for Vadersader:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]

Steal version

These are some of the best standard Light duo's, and if I had to use Light duo's against other random competitive PvP decks those would most definitely be my best bets of winning. There are some other good duo's I could (and will!) show you, but at the moment I need to take a break. Those weren't really standard anyways.

I hope this generates some discussion!

Commenting on:

Spoiler for DL:
Crusader Titan - definitely a must have. Not sure if the quanta is optimized perfectly, but I will check that out when I have (more) time.
Deathstall - seems to be neither stall-ish neither rush-ish. Also, might be slightly underpillared. Not sure if I like it or not, I assume it could be 'decent'. Not sure if it will survive the cutoff though and get in the Vault.

Spoiler for aznk...Pinaple:
Firestall - no comment
rustler - is it supposed to be a rush? As it has no healing and no control, I think we can build Faster decks than that, decks which also have more utility and maybe ways to get past defense/some slight CC
neuro - great idea, I would personally use more shields and Sanc's, those 2 are great damage stoppers. Will post my version sometimes soonTM

Realisticially we're going to have 8 solid and full decks and some spare cards/'aces in the hole' to be used with options such as RT, deflag, steal or Momentum. We need to assess the strength of our mono and how/if we can 'splash' some game winning cards because this is the easiest way to create a successful deck from cards that did not originally form a deck, and teams that can do this have much more flexibility.

I'm gonna take some time and look over everything properly before I make some stronger opinions but firestall and rol/hope are to me the two most important decks to have. Fire stall speaks for itself, RoL/hope is already combo oriented and the photon/luciferin unupped version is really too shaky- RoL/hope is a however a very useful tool for Gen that becomes increasily dangerous as war goes on. The deck can also be used with dimshield to support the lower amount of upgrades and the cards can be used to make other aether/light decks which were a real strength last war.

Next up I feel strongly that we should have a Vad/Sad and an immortal or other creatureless healing stall (fire/water/poison/stall), having both of these decks in contention at a point gives teams a lot to think about when building decks to use against us (namely creature oriented/creatureless with strong healing in both) as well as both being very solid deck options to begin with. Other aspects of deckbuilding to look over is whether to contain balanced amounts of PC and permanent oriented options in our vault, dimshields proved very effective last war. Another three cards that can be used to good effect that we should revise are Discord, Poison and Wings. It's also important that we instill our capability to both rush and stall to all the others teams in the event. It's also worth noting that there will likely will be opportunities to pick Discord and Poison via s/d in the event but wings possibly not as much.

Also some quick points to note are to foresee that light's creatures are not well shared by the rest of the teams and there is a real possibility that we could become low on creatures during the event.

There is also the impact of the nova nerf to consider, currently it has been almost customary for every team to have a novabow but we need revise our options this time out.

It's important that we make good use of our upgrades in these matches, there less upgrades this war and it's probably gonna hurt light in ways not felt last war (i.e. maj going unbeaten in all 'rounds' of war last time out) so it's extra important to understand and maximise our benefit from these especially in the case of the general deck.

I'm busy tommorow and my brain is a bit mashed from work all week and gaming tonight, but I've made loads of time on Sunday I can look at everything. Sorry to ramble a bit here but these are all points I don't want to forget. There are cool ideas floating around here and i'm sure in the end we'l produce a right sexy vault :)

Not quite the same speed (tho it can reach there with a good draw), but has a lot more staying power as it's strength grows as it reaches the late game. It can also be made quite easily if we do opt for the Death Stall, but, like the DeathStall it is nothing special. I'm on the fence about this one, but it's probably not good enough.
I've also made OE and Vampire decks, but there's no need to repost them.

Note that most of these decks are fully unupped so they use Dragons, but I would include some Angels in the Vault as well as everybody can use 2 upgrades and generally Archangels are just better than Dragons.

I feel now we have a really solid decklist - all we have to do is pick what we really want out of it, while making sure we leave some room for utility cards (Mirror Shields, Angels for upgrades, Dim Shields, maybe some Holy Lights and the like. It's gonna be tough, but I'm confident we can make it.)

only change i make to the crusdaer titan deck is to remove the chargers and replace them with just two more blessings so we dont have to rely on chargers plus we will probably win some early on from gravity.
second I would like to take some fog shields as back ups for wings in the blessed pegasus rush and the snipingsaders deck.
