Round Two - Preferred Decks and Thoughts on Matchups https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=56213.msg1161592#msg1161592

This round we face Darkness, Time, Earth, Water and Fire + 1 unknown.  Please post your thoughts on preferred decks, possible decks from the opponent and anything else in this thread.  Also, spoiler your responses and don't read others' responses before posting.  All that said:

 :darkness
Spoiler for Hidden:
Darkness is traditionally known for denial, but they can't really Dev our Sancs.  They'll probably send a Darkness Darkness Domin - something with steals, dusk, dagger, solid creatures (gargoyle, dragon, maybe vamp).  They also want to be able to stallbreak - after all, that's what we showed last time.

 :time
Spoiler for Hidden:
Traditionally weak to CC, but there's a decent chance they'll bring Pharoahs against us in hopes of breaking our stalls.  I really doubt Ghostmare from them, though they might bring ghosts with vampdag, steal, maybe dusk.  Pharoahs with gravity quanta off the mark eat our rolhopes and break our stalls(1 chimera?), so that seems possible.  I want to play something that beats this - morning star/long sword is good against them, maybe PU angels as a rush?

 :earth
Spoiler for Hidden:
EQ is pretty bad for us here.  Since we haven't shown any novae, we probably want to send our Grabbow or our Discake here, depending on what we expect.  Leaning towards Grabbow - BBs hit the discake pretty hard, and Grabbow can probably beat their fractal decks anyways.

 :water
Spoiler for Hidden:
As I said before - I expect Trident here from dd, especially after showing no novae and stalls last turn. Immo could be good here.

 :fire
Spoiler for Hidden:
Discake would be quite good and unexpected here, if we end up playing something else against earth.  They're one of the few elements that can kill our creatures (Fire Bolt), and it may be prudent to run a Mirror here.  Monolight is pretty solid against them.  They might run BB/Golem to beat our stalls with growth and our rushes with BB.

Spoiler for Hidden:

:water : I think Frangels with lightnings and lobo is our best bet. Grabbow, PUagons, Speed poison, steamy control, and toadtal are the decks we should be ready for. We should try salvaging the lobos this round, we are most likely going to need them.

:darkness : We have a lot of options here, but I think our best choices would have to be Siphonry and immortal. My heart goes to Siphonry this round though.

:earth: it's time for us to break out the novas this round, DisQuake is what I am opting for in this matchup, Lt. Should go here most likely. If we can, let's salvage try salvage just 1 blackhole to put in here for this matchup.

:fire : Not sure about this one. Night-Saders is the only deck I can think of for this matchup, Tito-Saders seems solid as well. Night sader has already been tested to be greatly favorable vs Fractrix and fractal based decks, so that would basically be a free win for us. Another choice here is to try out that our Angel Fire deck here, all of their creatures are vulnerable to Rage potion aside from Phoenix(which we can outrush if their is no Immo involved) while their CC is crap against angels and nymphs by comparison. On top of that, the deck can pack plenty of PC to take out stall decks or dim shields if they send them against us.

:time : Not sure here, maybe RoL/Hope, Spike isn't dumb enough to send a deck against us without taking RoL into consideration. I sort of like putting in Immo-rush, pendulums can help put back reminded creatures and deflag can take out anything threatening like eternity. The main issue with sending Immo is that it get a funny feeling spike is going to send us ghostmare, which put simply would be a total nightmare for us. Immortal with dials is another decent choice.

:chroma : We can probably fit AdrenaStaves in here somewhere, we will see.

:water I propose running adrena-staves here, cards don't cost too much, negating freeze, solid damage output and healing.

:time RT splash them, they most likely will bring ghosts/pharaohs vs us, those creatures are expensive and stalling their damage while we smash their hp bar with angels/dragons is quite nice x).

:darkness Vader sader? - If we have crusaders on field they wont be able to play a dagger unless they want to hurt themselves real bad, we can steal the dusks, and clamp their hand with the nightmare, it's not likely they will go devs vs us, so our quanta is fine, I think this is a viable option.

Lets just not forget that we only know around half of vault

:fire
Spoiler for Hidden:
I smell fractix here, think Air Light Stall with TS can do good here. Same works good vs golems (immo rush or bb version). Pack a reflect just in case
:earth
Spoiler for Hidden:
Think immortal from their side should be highly expected. Immorush should break it easily
:darkness
Spoiler for Hidden:
Mono, RT or BB splash from them. Grabbow? or maybe not
:water
Spoiler for Hidden:
not sure yet
:time
Spoiler for Hidden:
Leaning towards RT splash here
:gravity
Spoiler for Hidden:
vader sader :)
