Strategy ~ Round 1

We just got our matchups. It won't be easy, but we can do this. We've been preparing for a week now, and we've proven to be very capable both at deckbuilding and dueling. I'm seriously happy to be part of this.  :light

:light xdude VS :gravity Indrejue (Rookie) 2/0
Hopefully a piece of cake.  Indrejue is last on gravity's list so I hardly think he's a lieutenant. Deck used will be our second dune scorpion. Reverse time will hurt flying titans, chimeras, armagios, otys and stuff. Suggested upgrades: dunes, 2 miracles.

:light implosion VS :darkness Lokiburn4 (Duel organizer) 2/0
Another (let's call it "easy") match. I better be right. Suggested upgrades: ???

:light Rastafla VS :life Wizelsnarf  Salvager 2/1
Rasta, you're a great PvPer and our counter is awesome. Careful with scorpions and stuff.

:light asymmetry VS :aether artagas    (Rookie) Slow deck, good counter. 0/2
I'll leave aether counter to Wizardcat and try to make a working deck from our vault. THANK YOU Salamence for my deck, looks neat! Ready to kick some immaterial ass. (or viceversa... sorry guys)

:light Wizardcat VS :aether icecoldbro * (General) 6 upped  Epic win. 2/0
You can do thisssssss. Earthquake pendulums over pillars (in case of fractal) and well. Best of luck-

:light suxerz VS :gravity Napalm Grenade  (Strategist and a beast at PvP) 0/2
Well this is going to be hard. Second gravity matchup, who keeps the counter? Sux keeps the counter.

:light Salamence_747 VS :entropy Zeru* (General)/i] 6 upped Zeru packed CC. 0/2
Shit happens. Our entropy counter is at the same time our best deck, so LET'S HOPE we are the ones who surprise Zeru, and not the other way around.

:light Fenix2011 VS :death MrBlonde* (General) 6 upped Old deck is old. 0/2
See above. Then again, you can do this. Our death counter has proven to be good. Fenix has just 1 miracle.
Otherwise Rastafla will substitute him (please)

:light Ryan666 VS :water wavedash  (Strategist) PENDING
Our water counter is great, i'll help ryan during the deckbuilding phase. He'll farm the 5 miracles meanwhile.
Otherwise Rastafla will substitute him

Our event card is flawless victory. I'd be very grateful if you guys win 2-0. We could make better decks from now on.

So, tell me my friend, what can you see? What comes into your mind as you breathe?
'cause I see colors flourishing like you'd never believe... like a pendulum swings, they swing with me!

Well, this seems pretty tough for our first match. But, WE CAN DO THIS!

You know what else I just realized? Since losing teams only have to discard 6 cards this round, flawless victory means that most teams' vaults will actually increase in size. So a truly perfect round would net us over 2.5 decks worth of cards... :O

Xdude, me and Rasta should all hopefully win unless our opponents get really lucky/bad draws on our part/they happen to have the perfect counter deck.

asymmetry and Wizard's matches should depend on how well-prepared :aether is. We really don't know... since ice is just a general and not a master, there's a chance they could be somewhat ill-prepared. If so, then go us. Plus, these battles are another good way to prove that :light > :aether yet again.

suxerz vs Napalm... no freakin' idea. He'll probably get our main :gravity counter, so hopefully it'll kick ass.

Salamence and Fenix... yeah, I'm kind of having déja vù to last war when we had to face all of the masters. But oh well. If we can pull off wins against all 3 masters (which I think is a good possibility) then everyone will run in fear.

Ryan's match also probably falls in category one, because iirc Essence admitted last war that he could not think of a way to counter a deck like this... though he may have been low on cards, and will probably be expecting it. Who knows... it really could be close.

Ryan needs to learn how to use the deck with me. I'll be here tomorrow to test it with him. If you, ryan, can't manage to get the miracles needed, PLEASE PM RASTA.

I just wanted to thank you a lot for all the work you did with the Vault. I wish I could've helped more, but unfortunately my internet was broken for the last couple of days. Anyways, I"m back now, and I'm ready to kick some serious ass.

Full vault credits to Wizardcat. We would be blank without him.

Sorry guys.. Lost 2-0 to MrBlonde

He said he was expecting our deck (more or less) so maybe we got unlucky there..
08:27:02] mrblonde: gg fenix
[08:27:03] Fenix2011: well done MrBlonde
[08:27:14] mrblonde: thanks... was hoping for that deck
[08:27:19] mrblonde: no perma hurt you bad
[08:28:09] mrblonde: that was the nightmare deck that "plagued" us last war

In both games it really was his Upgraded cards that just dealt damage too hard..
I icebolted his creatures when I had the kill to buy the time for quanta, but maybe in the end the deck really needed that extra miracle.

First game went well, I kept my pillar/pend count at 2 most of the time to try to minimise the impact of his earthquakes only playing more if it looked like I needed the quanta for miracle. Got 3 miracles off (!) throughout the game but he saved 2 earthquakes for near the end and (luckily for him - he congratulated me for the win because it looked all but certain) meant I was 1 :light short of my last miracle. Painful, I had it in hand and he was on his last card... REALLY close

Second game I didn't draw any shields the entire game and his damage was too much. First miracle went off okay but for the second, even through I had the quanta, I didn't draw a miracle..

Annoying, really sorry guys but we're still in this! Good luck for the rest of the team!  :light
