I am not a native English speaker and have a strong accent, but I don't mind talking with you guys. I have not used Skype on my linux system I need to install it and figure out how it works, but is should be possible. However, there are also other options to consider, that might be even better.
E.g. Webex:
www.webex.com/en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WebExIt is a web-based video conferencing tool, that allows a group of people to communicate with voice + text chat as well as sharing a desktop -- which would allow others to see a player's game properly instead of via the buggy spectate.
It is commercial software but I believe it has a 1 month free trial, which we could make use of.
I know about webex because the company I work for uses it regularly to communicate with users, online training sessions etc. However, there are a number of other alternatives as well some of them free to use without limit:
