Sort of. Read the card text, and you will find that both Elite and regular Fireflies have an ability called "Bioluminescence". This is merely a cosmetic change to the card text of Elite Firefly that will clear up any confusion with the effect of Luciferine.

Hmm, that card might be great with a Dissipation Field and a horde of skeletons an entropy swarm deck with Micro Abominations and/or evolved Werewolfs

It's good because it allows you to have light quanta without pillars(towers)/light mark. I like to think it's like a somehow better, but more situational RoL.

The in development card Hope suddenly makes Luciferin/rase incredibly viable in my opinion. O_O (Shield, protects from 1 + N damage, N is the number of light producing creatures, 5 light cost) Skelly army turns into a wonderful shield.

Indeed. Skelly Army turns into a nice shield if you can keep them running properly :)

Does it give the ability to quinted creatures. I know adrealined creatures get it, but untargetability might prevent it from working.

No, they already have the passive skill "immaterial". Good question though ;)
