You just contradicted your own statement. If new cards come, they'll change the usefulness of Luciferin. Who knows, maybe Zanz will make a quanta-dependent Light Bolt card or something.

i did? i said that luciferin is useless right now. i also said that may change. and that is what you say.
white nymphy is another theme. she will not get useful. even if there will be a light bolt. paying 9 light quanta for a card that may produce some extra quanta will not get a good deal.

why? i got like 40 upgraded light cards which have made nice combos with a sundial before the nerf. it had to be nerfed i agree on that. right now i can sell 30 of those cards cause they fit with nothing. the new light cards make it worse. so i am pissed. beside the fact that my rudimentary english might get misunderstood it is you who gets personal.

That said, I'm more than willing to put faith in Zanzarino to give us a reason to want White Nymphs.  He's certainly done a good job of making things like Horned Frogs, Guardian Angels, and Discord suddenly cool and useful in unexpected ways (with Adrenaline, Rage Potion, and Black Hole, respectively.)  Give the man some credit, and be patient.

The truth, imo, is that light is such an underpowered element atm (we only need it for miracle and glories, and SOMETIMES blessings and archangels) that we all hoped for something better coming with the nymph. But I think Zan's got sumthing up his sleeve.

Everybody just chill out. It was a joke. How could you possibly take a comment like that personally? Yikes. Even moderators should be able to joke once in a blue moon.

Anyway... I still don't see why this is just "absolutely terrible". With the card pool as it is, I would much rather have Luciferin on a 7/7 creature than on a free card. At least this way you can kill your opponent while looking for a way to use the ability. Besides, none of these cards exist in the game yet, so why speculate further on its immediate usefulness when there is no immediate usefulness? Just my two cents.

Judging from the ubah-cool aether card (fractal) zan is going to add, I guess the series of cards coming after this will be some serious mono decks boosters..

Finally luciferin opens a road to new game mechanics, example:
I am planning on adding the "Fractal" card to aether: Select a creature (on the field). Fill your hand with as many copies as possible of the creature's card.

You get up to 8 copies of that card in your hand, no modifications are copied and you have to pay the card's cost if you want to use it. If you pick a cost-less creature you can get up to 8 creatures out in one turn. Add the luciferin effect, and you played 8 light pillars in one turn.

And why would I want to play 8 light pillars by the time I get a White Nymph out?
