Woo finally an opportunity to post some more in-depth thoughts on this round.
Versus Aether: deuce will expect us to use a deck which has some way of getting through Dim Shields, as I made it a point to do so during my Trials matches against him. That said, he may not end up taking any Dims at all or he might give Avenger a limited supply just in case. It's pointless trying to guess exactly what they'll take though since Aether's ridiculously versatile. The two current thoughts appear to be that we should take Nature's Wrath and use the Deflags/Explosions to counter Dims while using Rage Potions to counter Grabbows, or AdrenaTitans to bash through Dims, rush them down, and stall them out using Gravity Pull if needed. I'm personally leaning towards Nature's Wrath at the moment as Parallel Universe seems like a likely card choice to be used against us for some reason, although it would open up a weakness to Fractal in exchange. Fractal decks I'd expect them to use here would be Devtal, Fractix or some kind of Light stalling monstrosity with Sancs to guard from Silences (people hate Silence Frogtal a LOT now), Dims, and Angels or Light Dragons.
Versus Entropy: I could see them trying to stall us out here for the reasons that nen pointed out, so the idea of using a 43 card deck as suggested in chat seems better than ever. That also allows us to take out unneeded cards if they do try to rush us down, thereby further increasing our chances of drawing what we need, when we need it. Not really sure what else to put in it though. Guess we'll need to wait and see what's left over after our other decks are situated.
Versus Death: I'm reluctant to try and use AdrenaTitans against them again after we used it against them last War, but I don't see very many alternatives at the moment. AdrenaScorps may be an option, especially with UTL's ability to give it 6 upgrades and get out Scorpions faster than they can Plague them or whatever. Frogtal might be unexpected since they don't know that UTL's a Lt.
Versus Water: There's a lot of different things that I could see majofa trying to use, ranging from Speed Poison to Aether duos to Trident-based decks, Darkness duos... I'm still thinking our darkness duo is our best bet here. The current build offers a lot of quanta production to counter Trident, and I think that it should be able to stall out Speed Poison with both Daggers and Nightmares and then out-damage it. Aether duos may be problematic with only 2 Steals, but I don't really see much else posing that big of a threat here.
Versus Light: I saw that PUgons with Silences/Lobos was circulating the chat discussion. I like this idea, although I agree that it may be a bit obvious on our part (PUgons, that is; I wouldn't expect Lobos if I were them). Silences should also help counter RoL/Hope on the off chance that our opponent is a Lt., depending on the build.
Verus Earth: Mmm...yeah I'm not really sure what to do here. They could go stall or full derp Grabbow, so there's a very large range of decks we'd have to try and cover all at the same time. I believe our Grabbow should handle stalls just fine with Adrenaline and the like, but I can't see it beating one of their own Grabbows. PUgons may be a better matchup, but there's quite a bit that we'd need to consider putting into it as far as Aether cards go thanks to the various tactics they can use against us.
Tomorrow's going to be yet another busy day for me thanks to labs and other classes, but I will definitely be around for full-blown deck options discussion in about 17 hours. In the meantime, if you're looking for something to do then there's always testing of the deck ideas we're currently considering in the event that our expectations aren't as solid as we believed.
