the mark card is pretty much a pillar that has PA on it cept you can only have 1 type of mark card though

i have mark of life.. i would just substitute it for a pillar and would give a slight advantage... i dont understand why you wouldnt add it? if i lose i'll lose the card and its done, if i keep winning then i'll keep using it since all our decks except the rustler rush have emerald pillars in it
