Remember we can afford to discard up to 12 more pendulums than we need for our decks, as we can convert. So if we're -9 on pendulums we're doing okay.

if we discard 48 pendulums we are going to be at -17 pendulums compared to last round. If we really want to do this we are going to have to convert and possibly change some decks. We can only convert 12 I believe....

So maybe we should consider tossing some other cards?

Let me know so I can update our official count in the beginning of this thread.

you are right, with the 12 cards we can trade in, we would have -5 pendulums to the former vault.

since we get 30 cards now from the propaganda vote (yay!), we can get us the 5 pendulums/pillars from there.

(and we have still 3 unused fire pendulums in the vault).

so, yes i agree with discarding 48 pendulums.

edit:

what do we take from the propaganda (30 cards)?

a first suggestion:
5 life pendulums (or pillars, quanta bash worked too good vs. life in round 1?)
5 graboids
6 twin universe (or less? 4?)
3 quintessence
4 minor vamps
7 life critters (4 cockatrice 3 frogs?)

other posibillities:
4 immolation (to support the fire decks + probably rainbows)
more novas
rewind, ev. procrastination, dune scorps (would need monumentum and novas) for a time stall with dials?
enchant artifact

I AM pretty sure we don't get 30 cards. I believe we only get 18.

if we want to talk trios, we really need to be thinking about novas or quanta producing creatures.

If immolation we might want to consider taking phoenix too.

Parallel universe is super quanta intensive, do we really want it?

I vote we convert our sundials, mind flayers and fire pendulums to life pendulums (+1 other card to give us our 12 conversion).

I think nova would be great. Entropy did really well because they had a lot of rainbow decks that were well rounded basically.

Definitely agree on the vamps, graboids and life creatures though.

1st place (24 cards) : Team :time
2nd place (18 cards) : Team :life

All Propaganda Topics were approved, so rest of the teams will receive 12 cards each.
(...)
you are right... + 18 cards then.

we can convert some pendulums/pillars in the deckbuilding phase.
lets build the decks first and then looking for missing pendulums/pillars.
(btw we have also alot of otys)

i just a bit worried about taking nothing then pendulums - as the other teams can seeour we have nothing then pendulums. there is always a simple but deadly strategie against us: denial

we faced this in round 1 several times and it worked against us.

with +18 cards: graboids, vamps, cockatrice and frogs and a few novas?

So:

Round losses:
-43 pendulums
-5 arbitrary cards (will be refreshed through propaganda)

Conversion:
6 Sundial
2 Mind Flayer
4 Fire Pendulum
2 others (needs suggestions, otherwise I will go with 2 gravity shield)
All converted to Life Pendulums

From the Propaganda:
5 arbitrary cards replacing the onces sacrificed to the round losses above
6 Rustlers
3 Vampires
3 Horned Frog
1 Adrenaline

Sound good to people?

sounds good for me:

but i would like to keep the fire pendulums:
for making a fire stall/deckout maybe paired with the fahrenheits.

i think i did the mistake to adding life critters into my deck in round 1.
i was not able to use them in a efficient way (of corse discord -- but he just had more creatures and was prepared with cc).

other cards we could get rid of:
1 titan
2 diss shields
3 thorn carapace?
1 fire shield
2-3 otys

Conversion:
6 Sundial
2 Mind Flayer
2 oty
1 fire shield
1 thorn carapace

edit: 6 otys seems too much for me (specailly because we cant buff them)

i would prefer graboids over rustlers.
since everybody uses high cc against us we need some more critter protection.
and shriekers (evolved grabs) have a nice synergy with adrenaline -- 8dmg sweet spot.

Also, now that the Age of Light card has been thrown out, our synergies with :light are limited and less useful (IMO) than other strategies with other elements; Rustlers hold little use for us at this point.
