How so? Stacking infection counters kills off high HP creatures faster than bludgeoning them 1 HP at a time with Fire Shield.

Thorn is strictly better in that particular situation.

I am new, but I am finding the Spine Carapace to be very useful.  The blocking of one and then the poisoning.  If there is something I am missing please let me know because I don't know of many other shields that are better.  But as I stated, I am new
