Fire shield is superior to this in almost every way except for killing bigger creatures
Spike Caprace blocks one damage, fire shield doesnt. Spike, or even Thorn shield can kill faster if the poison gets on the creature for a few turns in a row.

Also as we all probably know, offensive shields need some healing in the background, because you are taking a lot of damage while using those shields usually...

And :life is obviously better at that than :fire

Spike Caprace blocks one damage, fire shield doesnt. Spike, or even Thorn shield can kill faster if the poison gets on the creature for a few turns in a row.
But the Thorn takes 2 attack cycles to take down a 1 HP critter (phoenix) and some of those critters might not have 1 HP the next time around (lava destroyer).

(And it's only 75%)

So yeah, if I want to take down Phase Dragons, I want this one.  If I want to take down swarms of everything but dragons and gravity, I'll take the Fire.

(You could have some wacky Aflatoxin deck.  Then it'd be great.)

There is no card to remove the poison from creatures. That would be the card I miss most.
The shield is like a plague, but even better.
Probably will the blocking amount be increased, so that small creatures like Arct Squid, small Otys are not poisoned.
Or the percentage will be reduced.

Thank goodness I can steal it. Im probably packing a pulvy in my deck now.

What surprises me is that this change will give Miracle Creature Control, albeit in a psuedo fashion. Hope something is changed to let us heal poison from our creatures or something, cause this could be an annoying thing to deal with.

in my opinion it COULD replace the permafrost in some fg decks. also nice combo with late sundials and works fine with boneyard or a overcasted bonewall.

But at least momentum is going to be a more commonly used strategy now.

Death to boring shields! I want epic ones!

Crimson Dragon :P

And it looks like momentum is getting better and better, all these new shields coming out with huge potential. The upgraded works better than skull shield in a life/death afla deck, because it'll kill whatever is still hitting you and the poison will stack with aflatoxin. Definately a good card, the cost is fairly justified imo, and life has never been the most difficult quanta to get.
I ask nothing of humanity but fairness in all things, but I do not expect even that.

Now when can we have a card call " Flying shield"? I can almost make a deck out with the powerful shields  :))
