I'm finding that this card has an amazing role as the equivalent of an Hourglass in a classic Life Rush.  5x Cock, 5x Horny, some Heals, some Adrenaline, and 3-4 Mitosis totally end the "blown wad" syndrome of your typical Life rush in an amazing way.  The secret is to force the opponent to deal with hard hitters early, using up his CC - then play Mitosis around turn 5-6.
If something happens and you think it deserves my attention, feel free to PM me. Other than that, I'm probably here if you want to shoot the breeze.

Mkay... Mitosis Longsword+Crusader Endow = Crusader with the ability to create new Crusaders with the cost of 1  :rainbow
Logical in its own way, but very weird. I think this needs to be fixed.

I haven't read the entire fourteen pages of this topic, nor do I plan to. But ever since I saw that this card was in development, I've felt that it's going to make mono-life overpowered. Life's already a very strong rush element, so why exactly does it need another card that can consistently spawn new creatures, adding to it's rush potential? A constant stream of cockatrices or frogs, coupled with the potential of adrenaline. Just doesn't seem like life needs this card. I feel like fire, air, or light could use a new card in this one's place of implementation. It's not a bad card in theory, but I feel like it needs to be reworked. Perhaps a turn delay between skill uses or something of the sort.

Another option is to make mitosis rare like artic squid.

That's a plausibility, but it doesn't really make it any less overpowered in my opinion. I mean, Artic squid, Pharoah and the Weapons are supposedly rare, but people will just put up farms for it, like they did for the rest, negating Mitosis' rareness, if it were to be implemented as a supposed rare. Maybe I'm a little too biased against it. Ah well.

Making an OP card rare is worst... Being rare isn't by ANY means a way to balance a card, it just imbalances more.

Lemme start by joining the rare doesn't fix it mob.

One solution would be to either cut the ability cost in 1/2 and make it add the card to your hand, this fixes the flying weapon superpowered decks, and makes it susceptible to anti-fractal cards (dune scorp ftw).

Another idea would have it be a one time thing, but spawn 2 copied creatures. So 1 frog becomes 3, but then loses the mitosis ability. In addition, the daughter cells would be current copies of the card (so no abilities).

Sorry if anyone has already posted these idea, I didn't mean to steal them.

Except that there has yet to be a deck with this card that really IS op. People thought so at first, but it really wasnt after extensive playtesting. It was just a new mechanic that was originally thought to be too good.

That is a bit weird. I guess the question is whether or not this is just an oddity of the way cards interact or if it's abusable.

*heads to trainer to see if it can be abused*

Try this
Mark of life
6 drudic staves
5 animate weapons
6 mitosis
3 Adren
10 Life towers

Its OP'd

Eh, so many people making such a simple deck. The Adrens are nice, but I find that using upgraded staffs without the adrens actually works a lot better. Not as much healing per staff, but without spending :life on Adrens, then you can Mitosis another Staff, effectively doubling your staff output without being so strained on Quantum. Also, I run two Spines and an additional Tower in place of the Adrens, and have a pretty good win rate against FGs. Problem is that I only have on staff on my account. D:
