I like it. I'm thinking of all those times i had a lot of quanta and no cards to use it on. Plus life needs something like this.

Cases in which this card is broken:
mitosis + staves + adren
mitosis + pests
mitosis + any critter + quint
mitosis + any critter + SoR
mitosis + any critter + quint + SoR

.....that's it

results:

Broken, yes.
OP, no.

I'd like to establish that now, so people don't start ranting around about how mitosis is OP. It is NOT OP, it is broken. Yes, there is a difference.
What is your difference between OP and Broken
IMO
OP means sufficiently above the standard (this has degrees)
Broken means either significantly away from the standard (up or down) or does not work.

Nerf Idea:

For [(insert card cost here)card cost/2 rounded down] add the card to your hand.
A card is probably never worth more than 2-3 elemental quanta. (See mindgate for details)

What is this nonsense? Mitosis is problematic right now, but only because of the fact that it can copy flown weapons straight onto the field. Weapons are designed to be a bargain for what they do, since you aren't supposed to have more than 1 of them normally without card combos (animate or TU) Take away the ability to target flown weapons, then you have a powerful, but not OP card. "mitosis + any critter + quint + SoR" is only about as OP as SoRed quinted purple nymph.

^^ This.

Change the way it deals with animated weapons, and the problem is essentially solved as far as I can tell.

Theoretically, weapons shouldn't be able to reproduce because they lack cells. :P

So in both favor of balancing and realism, I agree with the need to make Mitosis dealing with weapons. I think it shouldn't be able to target weapons entirely, and even then it is still pretty strong.  RoL + This + Hope  anyone?

And I got Ninja'd.

What is your difference between OP and Broken
IMO
OP means sufficiently above the standard (this has degrees)
Broken means either significantly away from the standard (up or down) or does not work.
*snip*
Broken = has too much power in special circumstances (i.e. weapons + mitosis = too powerful)
OP = Too powerful in every/most circumstance(s). (i.e. sundial before the nerf)

I'd like to establish that now, so people don't start ranting around about how mitosis is OP. It is NOT OP, it is broken. Yes, there is a difference.

OK, so that Mitosis/Staff deck I was all up about turns out, after 50 games, to have a winrate of about 38%, and it's much slower than Sha'kar.  So I'm no longer concerned about Mitosis and flying weapons.

I like that Mitosis can act a labo if you really need it to. ( There can be issues, so it is a short term solution. )
