I just went through the entire Mitosis thread (really quickly, so I might have missed something), and it looks like I'm the only person who actually played the Mitosis/Staff deck a crapload of times and got a more-or-less solid win/loss rate -- it won 57 FG games out of 150, or about 38%.
I gotta say, I'm not impressed by that kind of number. Sure, PVP opponents don't have an FG's advantages, but they also have smarter decks and make more intelligent decisions -- so I really don't think that PVP Mitostaves would be any more impressive than Fire Stall, Fractal Chargers, or any of the other highly-dominant PVP strategies that have come out lately.
And that's with Mitosis as it originally was. Take away the ability to target flying weapons, and the scariest thing you've got left is Dragon+Mitosis+SoR, which I've also tested against FGs with a miserable winrate of 6 games out of 50 -- or 12%. Again, I really don't give a damn.
Then you go and 2
to the casting cost, and suddenly it's gone from "hey, I can duo/rainbow this into a thousand cool combos" to Jade Dragon+SoR or Frogs...
and that's all.In other words it went from a nifty Fractal variant to a card no one except possibly KDZ or Gl1tch gives a damn about.
Huzzah!
