Well, not frequently enough to make it OP, but it is still something to consider.

Immortal is not available through Mutation, and I'm fairly certain Phase Dragon isn't either.

EDIT: Actually I think Phase Dragon is, but Immortal definitely isn't.

I am pretty sure only Devonian dragon can't be a mutation endpoint. Otherwise, what happened in trainer was a glitch. Are you telling me I missed a change to get a screenshot of a glitch? Dang.


Also, why was it decided that creatures couldn't mutate into an immortal? Was it that it would be thematically wrong to get a killable immortal?

That's just utterly overkill.  The original cost was perfect; as-is, it's almost entirely restricted to mono-life. 

Not targeting weapons is just fine, but the cost increase was not requested by the community, not necessary, and certainly unwelcome, at least on my part.  Compared to the other cards that allow you to create new cards every turn -- Mindgate and Hourglass -- Mitosis is now more expensive to cast, usually more expensive to activate, and more vulnerable.  Not good.

Yeah. That 1 makes a big difference. But consider this: from what I know, RainbOw, Elidnis, Ferox, Miracle, Fire Queen, and some other FGs also have Mitosis. Although they don't have SoR, but they have amazing quanta generation. That increase in Mitosis cost helps with FGs.

First off, at the moment, it's a 2 increase, not just 1.  Also, the FGs don't actually have the card -- the Trainer is set up to add 'in development' cards to every AI deck you play against, in order to find any AI problems with them. I doubt that any besides Ferox will actually have Mitosis in the life game -- and that's iffy.


I have to say, I've been playtesting the new version, and it's gone from edgy and cool (Fractal-like) to an interesting toy that -- outside of monolife rush -- you really have to work to build a deck around (Luciferase-like.)
