Many variants exist. I chose the example from war for two reasons. First, novas not only help you rush, they nullify Discord's ability. Second, cockatrice are resistant to CC like firestorm - your worst nightmare if you are playing with only Frogs.

NOTES: Tips - Adrenaline is better used on Frogs than Cockatrice - If you suspect CC, play Cockatrice before Frogs because they are more likely to absorb some damage but survive.  If you suspect reverse time though, play the cheaper Frogs before your Cockatrice. It's a shame this is sort of outshadowed by frog. Unupped frog is a much better combo with adren, and upped frog is cheaper for the same attack.

Yep. A little skill in the cockas wouldn't come bad with the same cost. It's being discussed in the buff section.

Could use this in a speedbow if you wanted a more stable deck, with sacrifice in speed a little.

Difference from frog is quite big. 3 means you need to wait a bit more while 2 can be gotten out via one supernova.

 So, the old topic was lost. Ok then, I will say again of how awesome this card is IMO, even in comparison with the frog. Horned Frog|Gaint Frog is 1 cheaper than Cockatrice|Elite Cokcatrice and Horned Frog is the best creature to be paired with Adrenaline|Epiderphine. However:
1) Both versions of Cockatrice can withstand Maxwell's Deamon Paradox ability, while Giant Frog can't (however, Horned Frog can).
2) Both versions of Cockatrice can withstand a 3-damage CC attack (Rain of Fire, Fire Lance, Eagle's Eye Sniper ability) while both of the Frog versions would be killed.
3) Elite Cockatrice can withstand a Shockwave, but the Frogs can't.
4) Scarabs and Otyughs can devour a Frog sooner and easier than a Cockatrice.
 The list can still go, however you get extra anti-CC protection for just an extra 1 quantum, which is awesome IMO. Personally, I would prefer having 6 Elite Cockatrices in my deck rather than 6 Giant Frogs. I don't say that Frogs are bad, I say you get what you pay for. 2 For a good attack but somewhat poor health and 3 for a good attack and good health.  8)
