I still don't know why you are trying dragons, you won't play them most of the time anyway.
I am playing several varieties of this deck and in most of these I replace dragons with other cards; Frogs, Staves, even Shields. However, I like dragons because they offer the following:
* If you already have a Jade Dragon in your starting hand, the turns you'll draw a Tower/Pendulum instead of a critter won't be a waste, because they will provide the quanta you need to summon your dragon.
* This deck has more than enough pillars/pendulums (2 more than the average mono-life rushing deck) and Jade Dragons are good for using your extra quanta.
* They are good against Titanium|Diamond Shields (high attack) and Wings (airborne).
* They are overall 12|9 creatures, one of the toughest beasts around Elements.
Yes, a lot of times I don't use them (I beat my opponent before they're needed) however sometimes can save your
, lol. I think them as a "sky blitz"; an expensive card which won't be used often, but if it is used it will be a game-ender.
Perhaps for variety?
That's a nice reason too!
By the way, if you encounter a lot of Aether Dim spamming decks while farming bronze with this, try to replace the Jade Dragons with Feral Bonds. It is very easy to have more than 5 creatures on the field at the same time and Feral Bonds will provide you with a decent healing in order to survive until the shield chain is gone. Another good option is Jade Staves.
