It would improve the EM rate yes, this deck was build for speed though.
If you want heals and EMs you could just use USEM:

I started down that road with this deck, ended up at USEM after testing.

This deck was meant to outrun a shrieker rush, does that just barely.

You're working with a sliding scale between balancing speed and EM rate here. Trading Epis for Heals would improve EM rate, but increase the TTW.

Further testing in Heal/Epi numbers could reveal the optimized build in maximizing score/electrum gain per unit of time.

Yes it works unupped, but replace the 2 swords with 2 pillars.
