I think this could cost about the same as shockwave/lightning and it would still be fine.

Nice idea.

I agree with andretimpa. While they have the advantage of killing a creature before attacking once, it is harder to target the one you wanna get rid of the most, as your opponent can play his creatures in a different order.

So, a cost of 2|1 seems fine.

On another note: This art is awesome!

I encourage anyone who wants to get into making 3D art like that to check out the Daz3D website.
Hexagon and Bryce7 are what I use. They're pretty inexpensive relatively speaking and Bryce7 has some really good texture sets etc.

To make this a bit more programmable, why not simply place them automatically on the first open creature slot on the opponent's field? As far as the game stands currently, this has the same effect anyway, plus no danger of misclicking / choosing the wrong spot.

Also kind of just a reference, but real-life weaponized spikes (at least the only I know of) are called Caltrops (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caltrop).

Thematically I think a minefield / mine is more appropriate, but I'm just picking hairs now.

This is a great idea. It could force your opponent to hold onto their creatures until they draw one strong enough to take the hit, or can play two at once. Oty might make a good pairing to cover the creatures with enough HP to survive Tacks|Spikes.

I actually made the art for a similar card someone was coming up with several months ago for openEtG. This card was a very similar theme so I figured the art might be useful here.

@seulintse: I'm hoping a little logo or a "ghost-card" would appear on the field. I'd make that image, unless EtG/Cygnia has a specific theme for that sort of thing. In terms of accumulation...

@UndeadSpider: ...I think this method sounds better, not to mention easier to code. Which we both mentioned. I'll change the card to reflect this when I'm able to. (which will be tomorrow afternoon)

Keeping the card targetting a slot could be used together with the positioning mechanics that is being planned for Cygnia (though I'm not sure if the entry order is affected by any of the cards).
