If your opponent has no shield, it still makes a good midhitter unupgraded. Upgraded, it 'trades places' with Archangel in Light's arsenal, becoming a cheap card focused on healing while Archangel fills in the midhitter role instead. i don't follow, Wolf, light, heal, shield?  i don't see how these connect thematically, aside from light and healing.

Why wolf = ?

The basic idea came from the art (white is Light's main color) - I was thinking of a Mother Wolf that protected others. (Wolves have a protective and caring sense for their younger kin, which I tried to reflect with healing.) Game-wise, I was thinking about how Light lacks a decent midhitter unupgraded in a mono.

Overall, single wolves or mated pairs typically have higher success rates in hunting than do large packs.

I think Light is partially an element of 'understanding' as well in contrast to Darkness, which represents the shadow and thus the 'unknown'. So as the Wolf learns to trust it's allies more, it improves in taking care of it's allies (can find it's 'kin' faster/lower casting cost) but suffers from being effective at combat due to being in a group (and thus specializes more in healing).

As for the shield interaction, I think it works with the Wolf's 'aggressive' aspect - playing defensive against them only punishes you as they find a different way to beat you at their own game (this being , damage is healed to represent stalling enemy attacks and alternate strategy would be wearing the enemy out (deckout and slow damage)).

[/li]Conspecific protection Theme (trust, loyalty)[/li][/list]In any case, putting it in Light, in my opinion is a bit of a stretch, of course, the easiest solution is simply to change the thematics of the idea presented, possibly by changing the name and image. Animals, especially mammal parents tend to defend their family members because of resources invested in growth of children, etc. so to say that wolves are classic animals of trust is true, but easily applicable to dogs, cats, bears, etc.

Just what I think though, and of course thematics is a minor detail, the cherry on top. I like the concept overall and especially the skill name.

I personally think the Wolf fits very well with card for another reason that I can't exactly place - it just seems to flow very well, IMHO.

I'm open to suggestions though if people think there are better animals that fit the theme. (I'm also considering alternate names like "Guardian Wolf" to fit the healing aspect more)

The effect doesn't stack. (I have a feeling if it did it would be sort of like Eclipse stacking, except with mass healing instead. )

I love the combination of the name, ability, and image of this card. Wolf is completely the right animal, IMO, because this is one of the roles wolves play in mythology and culture: Romulus and Remus, Mogli, and many more (I bet). In our imagination, wolves are so motherly and protective they will care for creatures that are obviously not their own. the balance of the card is really cool too, since it is the opponents choice whether or not to play a shield.

I think the name is perfect, but fyi there is a wolf constellation called lupus, that maybe fits with the light idea more, even if not in the title, it could be referenced in the image.

ooh ooh, what if there was a way to transform lycanthrope into this (a la mummy/pharaoh), instead of reverse time it could be purify! (the last part is just a crazy idea, probably too complicated to be taken seriously)
