I was going to offer to make 3d art for this (because... I had an idea for it and its mechanical nature makes it quite doable) but I see you found some.
If you want a replacement at some point though, let me know and I'll crank it out.

I can actually see building a deck entirely around this card... ... would PA the generators.

A question, would this produce a spark at the start of the turn ? And if it does I guess if you have no aether quanta to drain it won't summon one ? Perhaps the ability should be active instead ?

Yes, it produces the Spark at the start of the turn.
No, if there is no at the start of turn there is no production.

Activatable ability...I'm not sure. I kind of like the idea of having to deal with not only the drain but the constant generation - your field might be filled up while you wait for a specific card...or, however unlikely, you might run out of much needed because of this

so long as there is no single target health buff on a stick (like Auburn Nymph without the delay) this card will have a hard time outperforming either just spark or fractal spark. One niche for it would be that it is less punishing if you want to run dims or hold back some tech cards.
Other than that it should get the graveyard treatment, since the uppeds effect is so much better; make the unupped cost just three.
Apropos graveyard: this is great in bonetal; instead of running spark as fractal target you just produce it with this card and benefit from an extra death effect each turn.

Other "per turn" effects like quanta producing happens at the end of turn, so if you want this to happen at the start of your turn it should say so on the card.
