I reaaally like the idea and I think the mechanic is balanced. However, I'm still iffy on Life gaining CC, even such thematically appropriate CC. It would certainly make Life more powerful and probably more balanced, but... its lack of control is one of its defining features. I like the card, but I'm not sure if I support the idea.
In my opinion, CC/PC is fine in life as long as it doesn't become playable in life stalls - it keeps the passive nature of that stall, instead of turning it into a light/fire stall hybrid.
That doesn't mean overload it with CC/PC, but I feel rush-orientated control has a bit more leeway in life.
(And life is passive, because every other stall except light is aggressive. Life stalls are, as they stand right now, the exact opposite of nearly every other stall, and that needs to be respected.
Oh, and also, The element's themes are incredibly soft - it's possible to justify putting most things in most elements.
Oh, and a tiger ripping its prey's throat isn't life, because something is dying. Life cares more about unchecked growth. Killing something does remove a bit of growth, which is kinda against life.
But as long as you keep it out of the stall...)
