This card is part humor, part serious card idea.

ART: Treldon IDEA: Treldon NOTES: Pillars and pendulums cannot be sacrificed with Damming. The idea was based on a joke from last night, however the skill might be worth consideration Spoiler for The joke: Colleagues were talking about some metal bands, one of them mentioned "Beware of Darkness" I only half heard it while I was on the phone, so after I hang up I ask them "What? Beaver of Darkness? How hardcore..."

Assuming half your deck is pillars (which is a lot but you might want to run that way with this card), you still get to play a card every other turn with no loss and your opponent never generates quanta again. The ability is incredible, discord, don't be so quick to judge.

The creature might need a HP drop for balance reasons since it's a major lock if not dealt with right away.

Considering it's in the same element as Steal you basically get to run the skill for free (5 )

That beaver needs laser eyes.

On the card, make it so that the block lasts only one turn, can be blocked by sanctuary and you need to sacrifice a non-pillar/pend.

I say we keep it as Damned Beaver because Damn/Dam puns. Since you can't target pillars, I say this is balanced and a very cool card idea.

1: Certainly. That's the most cost efficient way. Play a Sundial, next turn use it to draw a card then sacrifice it to Barricade. Win-win.

2: Nothing that I can think of at the moment. Pretty much the only way to prevent Barricade is to run a deck without permanents and have sufficient PC or EA in deck.

Are you implying that you can sacrifice your opponent's permanent to embargo them!? This is going to be OP.

However, if you meant that the EA is used to protect the opponent's permanent so that they can't sacrifice it, it's a whole new chapter.

Oetg has Sabbath, a  spell that cancels quanta generation for 1 turn. You don't sacrifice anything and it's not so powerful... Only in early game.
