NOTES:
"Today is a good day to remain firmly grounded"

"Deep roots will give rise to profound and impactful results for those with the patience to see them through."

This idea is meant as capstone ideas for the "Material" element set ( air earth fire water )
Although only earth and water are needed to make use, decks that can produce and use all four elements will see greater utility.

The idea is to produce "clathrate" which basically is a mini, self contained, unstable gas strategy.
Thematic Reference: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methane_clathrate

Clathrates are themselves permanents. They decompose over several turns, producing unstable gas cards and :air quanta for the owner.
If the clathrate is destroyed early, it will also produce :fire quanta.

The upgraded version simply increases production rate at the cost of long term output.
I.e. it costs less quanta and produces :air more quickly but ends up generating less total :air and gas.

Since the clathrates produce :air as well as gas, they can also serve as very effective burst :air production as well.
If combined with immolation or permanent destruction, this card could potentially provide a pendulum based material quartet.
Spoiler for Clathrate | Pressurized Clathrate:

NOTES:
This card is not meant as a standalone, but rather, is produced by the clathrate fissures.

The unupgraded version produces :air more slowly, but generates more :air and gas in the long run.

Whether the glass is half full or half empty is a moot point. It is always filled to the brim. It is only a matter of by what. The real question is: What fills you?
If your zombie plan is
kill -9 `ps l | awk '{print $2" "$3" "$9}' | grep "Z" | awk '{printf("%s ",$2)}'`

The idea itself is understandable in the sense that it promotes a united effort among the Terrestrial elements  :fire :water :earth :air
and that it significantly promotes Unstable gas use.

However I would like to see an example scenario to better understand the card in general. (situations it can be used in, potential, etc.)

I think the most obvious use is to build a stall deck around it.
Squids, amber nymphs / NT, wardens, etc. and this.
Then you just stall the opponent until you can draw an immolate and nuke them with gas.

It would work really well in a warden + sopa deck.
You could add in toadfish to deal with flyers and be able to power them off of the :air that the clathrates provide.
There would be then be two very potent OTK threats. One from the gas, and another from the SoPa.
The gas also provides a mass CC threat to deal with swarm decks, which can often be tricky for wardens to deal with.

If powered off of the quartet pillars and a :death or :aether mark, spiders could be thrown in instead of toadfish.

I think I might drop the Fissure and geyser cost a little bit though. That will make it more useful as a quanta source.
